Excellent stay

Myself and granddaughter stayed here for 4 nights. After a flight delay we arrived late but the receptionist was lovely, very welcoming and gave us information that was useful. Our room was very clean, spacious, bed was comfortable and the bottle water in the room was a good gesture. Bathroom was a good size with walk in shower, plenty of hot water and toiletries provided.
Breakfast was plentiful with cereals, fresh fruits, yoghurts, pastries, hot plate, cold meats and cheeses, coffee machines, fruit juices & even bottles of wine. There’s a lovely garden area around the back of the hotel where you can enjoy a drink from the bar. All staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is in an excellent location about 15 mins from central market hall & Gellért bridge, we didn’t use public transport just walked everywhere. I would highly recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Not as good as expected

Not as good as expected. We traveled as a family of three with an 8 year-old child who was treated as an adult since the hotel does not provide any discount for children. That was not explained clearly on the hotel's site and we had to call them. The person who picked up wasn't sure what to answer and basically did not provide any info at all.
The hotel proved rather far away from the city center and the neighborhood was neglected and unpleasant although it had good transportation links.
On arrival we were barely greeted by a very unhappy female receptionist (don't remember her name and I am not sure whether she was wearing a badge) and trash metal music in the lobby which is very weird for a 4 star botel. My impression was that we were disturbing her with our presence. Our room was not ready yet but she showed no hospitality and did not offer us any welcome drinks (which were present in the lobby) although she saw we were with a kid. In half an hour we had to go and ask whether our room was ready an she just replied that the housekeeping hasn't called her yet and then just ignored my presence. If I hadn't insisted on calling the housekeeping again we probably could have waited several more hours. Not a good first impression in a new country. She didn't offer any practical information about the transport or the restaurants nearby.
Finally, we were given the room cards.
The room itself was the best thing about the hotel since it was on two floors and was very spacious for the three of us.
As a whole, the hotel looks good in the inside, it has been refurbished recently and the common areas and the room were pleasant and clean.
The breakfast was not impressive, though. There weren't many options - no pancakes or something typical for Hungary. Nevertheless, the basic elements - fruit, eggs, bread, cheeses, ets. were present.
The first day the housekeeper had rushed through our room while we were at breakfast and the beds on the second floor were left in a mess. The only thing we noticed there were some new towels provided and the kid's bed was made.
As a whole, I definitely wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend. Given the price we paid we probably would have found better options closer to city center but I was mislead by the positive reviews.

Top hotel

A lovely 3 night stop at this hotel. Staff were lovely and friendly on arrival with easy check in. Our room was on the first floor with a balcony overlooking onto a grassed courtyard. The room was very clean and well presented, very little or no noise at all could be heard. Breakfast was also very good, a selection of pastries, fruit , yogurts and cereals, along with eggs and bacon or cold meats and cheeses. We would definitely stop here again, it’s the ideal location.

A Wonderful Stay in a Great Location

A lovely, peaceful hotel in a great location. We had a beautiful, spacious room with a wonderfully comfortable bed and a large bathroom with an excellent shower. The lovely-smelling toiletries were the perfect finishing touch. The extensive breakfast was also fantastic! Excellent value for money. We will definitely be back!
