Comfortable and pleasant
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. After the first night, we asked to change rooms because the one initially assigned to us faced the street and was quite noisy. Our request was handled promptly, and we were moved to a new room on the ground floor.
Breakfast was plentiful and is commensurate with the hotel's star rating. The hotel also features a swimming pool with a bar. Recommended!

Just great!!!
Excellent experience from the first to the last minute! The hotel was clean, both in the common areas and in the room, that smelled freshness and was careful to the smallest detail. The cleanliness really exceeds all expectations and seems to be done with professionalism and consistency.
The staff really deserved congratulations! All staff were kind, smiling and always willing to help with anything we needed. They made us feel comfortable and welcome throughout our stay.
Definitely a hotel that is worth its 5 stars and we will prefer it again without a second thought!

A big disappointment on a beautiful island
The first room we were shown was very dark and cramped, with the shower located within the bedroom itself. It looked nothing like the photograph of the Double Room with Garden View & Terrace that we had booked. I declined the room and we were shown a second room that was almost identical, which I also refused. Finally, we were offered what appeared to be a newer room. Although it was still very small and bore little resemblance to the room shown in the booking photographs, it was clean, bright and had a modern shower room, so we accepted it.
Unfortunately, our disappointment continued throughout our stay. The breakfast was of a very low standard, with food items frequently running out and not being replenished promptly. Dirty plates were often left on tables for long periods, meaning guests sometimes had to clear space themselves before sitting down.
The pool area was also disappointing. The artificial grass surrounding the pool looked worn and tatty, and the pool itself did not appear particularly clean or inviting.
Another frustration was that the hotel bar would not accept card payments. In this day and age, and particularly at a hotel catering to international visitors, this seemed very inconvenient and outdated.
While Skopelos is a beautiful island and we enjoyed exploring it, the Rigas Hotel did not meet our expectations and was a disappointing way to end what had otherwise been a wonderful holiday. Given our experience, particularly as we were celebrating our honeymoon, I would not choose to stay at the Rigas Hotel again.

Warning: the Booking images are not real
In general, the property is poorly maintained: around the pool, there is a dirty fake grass carpet instead of a lawn, and reception staff are often unreachable and unhelpful. At the bar, cash is insistently requested even though other payment methods are available (furthermore, a spritz cost $15!). Breakfast offers discount products, truly low quality.
It is listed as 3 stars, but it is worth at most 2. We paid $160 per night and this amount is not justified by the actual state of maintenance and cleanliness. I absolutely recommend considering other options in the same price range.

Not the best
1st room was really small with step down from bed which my granddaughter fell off
Staff moved us next day to little bit better room little bit bigger and no step
Pool area not very safe, green false grass round pool area is all lifting and very dangerous, pool not that clean and very deep and not suitable for small children
Also pool closes at 6 when sun is so hot still definitely needs to be reviewed
Breakfast not the best for us, myself, daughter and granddaughter stayed and went for breakfast once all week and didn’t no we could get food from the bar as we was not told this until I seen someone getting some food to there sun-lounger, not enough sun loungers and really poor layout with bed.
Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels
It’s about 10 minutes walk to port and main bars and restaurants
Would I stay here again or recommend it sorry but a no from us
