Excellent!
The rooms at Villa Litsa are exceptionally clean and the views from our very large balcony were breath taking...excellent value for money!
But the main reason for me writing this is to commend the owners for going above and beyond to help us. We stayed in Villa Litsa for one night before catching a ferry over to Skopelos for a friends wedding. When we arrived at our hotel in Skopelos and unpacked, my partner soon realised that he had left his suit for the wedding at Villa Litsa. With the help of the receptionist at our hotel, we managed to arrange for the owners of Villa Litsa to deliver the suit back to Skiathos port (which is a 20 minute bus ride away) and it was then shipped over to us in Skopelos in time for the wedding!
Thank you so much Villa Litsa for sparing us the embarrassment of my partner having to attend a wedding in his speedo's!
I would highly recommend Villa Litsa...great value for money, clean rooms, perfect location and stunning views!!

Villa Litsa
The villa is beautiful and sympathetically decorated. All your needs are catered for – well equipped kitchen, living area (sleep the 5th person), air conditioning, TV, DVD, 2 bedrooms – 1 with double bed and 1 with 2 singles and a large open plan balcony area with seating and a table.
The villa is situated in the village of Kolios (at bus stop 13) – about 5/6km outside of Skiathos town. The supermarket, bus stop and a taverna are a 1 minute walk from the villa. There are a number of beaches close by – directly opposite you will find Vrolominos beach (about a 10 minute walk) and about 4 or 5 more beaches in both directions – all of which can be reached by foot.
The owners of the property are always more than happy to help and will offer advice on things to do, places to see within Skiathos and the surrounding islands.
We used the local bus service to go into Skiathos town or the water taxi which departs from Nostos beach. Skiathos town is lovely – a myriad of hidden streets lined with restaurants and bars.
The port is lined with boats offering trips around the island and to neighbouring islands. We splashed out and went for a ‘private’ trip on the Nidri boat – a beautiful sailing boat, with the captain and only 8 other guests – bliss (compared to the hordes of people on the other commercial boats!). We visited a number of secluded bays and saw some wonderful parts of Skiathos and Skopelos. This is a must to add a real ‘personal’ touch to your holiday.
We hired a jeep and visited the Monastery of Evangelesteria and Kastro (the old city). The monastery is a beautiful ‘working’ monastery in the hillside above Skiathos. There is a very interesting museum ‘attached’ to the monastery as well as a fabulous church. The monastery produces a variety of wines, oils and honey to purchase. Kastro is also very beautiful –however it is not for those who struggle with uneven terrains or have walking difficulties as you can not park near the site. If you’re up for the walk then it is well worth it – the views are stunning and the history to the old city is very interesting. If you are going to hire a car it would be worth explaining to the hire company that you will visit these two sites so that they can offer you a car that can ‘deal’ with the uneven terrain and dirt tracks which lead to both the monastery and Kastro.
After our trip to the monastery and Kastro we stopped for some lunch in Panorama restaurant. The name of the restaurant says it all – commanding views over Skiathos which are just breathtaking. They specialise in pizzas which are delicious and coupled with the fabulous surroundings make a visit there well worth the trip outside of Skiathos town. [--]
Overall this was an exceptional holiday – our second trip to Skiathos was just as good as the 1st and I will definitely be returning in the near future. I can not recommend our accommodation enough and would urge anyone considering visiting the island to stay at Villa Litsa.
