It was not love at first sight, but then it turned out to be perfect!

Relying on positive reviews and the significantly lower price compared to other facilities, we booked at Despoina. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the manager, who was very kind and provided us with some information about the island and how to get around. The room at first glance, although large, seemed very basic, but then it turned out to be a perfect solution for our needs. It is just a few steps from the center, in a very convenient location for taking the bus to the beaches and for the supermarket. The strong point of Despoina is definitely the impeccable cleanliness. The room was cleaned every day and towels were changed twice a week (in addition to the day of arrival). The only thing I would recommend is to add a shower curtain to prevent water from spilling out, but nothing that made me regret my choice; on the contrary, I would choose it again! Good morning!

Well-maintained and super convenient

We were impressed with how well-maintained the entire property was. The rooms looked freshly painted, and everything worked flawlessly. You’re just minutes away from restaurants, bakeries, and even a supermarket. Loved every minute of our stay.

Mediocre accommodation

Poor accommodation with very questionable standards.
The rooms are equipped with the bare minimum, we had asked for a double bed but instead we were joined two single beds just arrived in the room. The bathroom has no electrical outlet, no shower cubicle, water splashes everywhere and there is not even the contraption to hold the shower phone, you have to put it on the fountain. A miserable bar of soap per person for a week and is nonexistent even the phone, we asked the owner that there is gave a very small and already broken that after 5 minutes of use overheated and turned off without turning it back on for 10 minutes. The air conditioner has only one on/off button with no possibility to adjust temperatures, jet or direction. No wi / fi in the room and although it says free parking the truth is that there is a small space outside where those who first arrive manage to park, most of the time in the evening after leaving with the car we would return and waste 15 minutes of time to find parking away from the accommodation. If you find yourself dirtying the towels it charges you 50€ more for laundry. No electrical outlets near the bedside tables and the fridge only works if you stay in the room because you insert the card for electricity.
Other inconveniences I don't remember now.
If you look elsewhere you will surely find better. I don't recommend it.

Dear customer,
The rooms have one double or two single beds depends on availability. Wi-fi is provided in the common areas only and the hotel has free public parking in close distance and a small private beside the property. The refrigerator works 24 hours, whether you are in the room or not and there is no cabin in the bathroom. Daily changing of towels is charged 50 euros per week. The owners live in the hotel, willing to solve any problem that arises. Next time you make a reservation, it would be better to read the hotel's facilities carefully and see its photos.

Good value and clean, with friendly and helpful staff, and good location for town centre and bus stop to beaches.

Basic accommodation. Very clean. John and mum very helpful. 5 minutes town centre. 15 minutes to beach. Large supermarket few minutes away.
