Best trip ever!
Our stay at Hotel Winery 1870 Santorini was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we booked until the day we left, the level of customer care we received was the best we have ever experienced.
As a small boutique hotel, Winery 1870 offers a truly personal touch that larger hotels simply cannot match. Every member of the team made us feel valued, welcomed, and genuinely cared for throughout our stay. In particular, Michael Angelo and George were absolutely incredible and went above and beyond in every possible way.
This trip was especially important to us because it was a secret proposal week for me to ask my now fiancée for her hand in marriage. For more than six months leading up to our arrival, the team provided constant communication, advice, guidance, and reassurance to help me plan every detail. Their dedication and enthusiasm made what could have been a stressful process feel effortless.
The team organised all of our transport arrangements and even upgraded us to a private boat tour the day after the proposal to make the celebration even more special. On the night of the proposal, they transformed our room with bubbles and rose petals, creating a magical atmosphere that we will never forget. Their attention to detail and genuine care helped create memories that will stay with us forever.
The breakfasts each morning were simply out of this world. We loved being able to choose where to enjoy them, whether by the pool or even in bed. It was a wonderful luxury and the quality of the food was exceptional.
Our room was spectacular. We stayed in Room 5, which featured a beautiful hot tub in a cave behind the bed. The room was incredibly spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully presented. Everything was maintained to the highest standard and exceeded our expectations.
The hotel’s location in Fira is perfect. The famous Caldera views are only a two-minute walk away, allowing you to enjoy one of Santorini’s most iconic sights without paying the premium prices often associated with Oia. Being based in Fira also meant we were centrally located and had easy access to everything the island has to offer.
What truly makes Winery 1870 special is its size. Being such a small boutique hotel allows the team to focus on people and create genuinely meaningful guest experiences. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us.
We wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Winery 1870 Santorini to anyone visiting the island. Our stay was beyond our expectations and honestly perfect in every way. We will never forget the team, their kindness, and the memories they helped create during one of the most important weeks of our lives.

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed..
Such a charming hotel. Staff was phenomenal, service was amazing, rooms were incredible and location was perfect to walking to everything.. I can’t say enough about the comfy bed and pillows.. I wanted to just move in…

We loved our stay! It was well maintained and the rooms were lovely. It was in a central location and the staff was very helpful with rides restaurant suggestions and anything we might need. Breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Not only is the property beautiful but Michael was the star of the show he was so incredibly helpful. From taxis to canceled flights he helped us with everything.
