Perfect location for all ages
This hotel was ideal for us and my elderly parents. The location is excellent—everything is within walking distance. It took my parents just 2 minutes to reach the harbour and 15 minutes to get to the Old Town. My husband also spent plenty of time enjoying the pool, though a queue does tend to form before it opens at 10:00 AM.
We stayed on the top floor, which helped minimize street noise. The corridors can get occasionally get a bit loud when people pass through, knocking on doors and shouting, but fortunately, it didn't bother my parents, handy having a Spar just a 1 min around the corner for milk and essentials (don’t forget to bring your own teabags!).
The water station on each floor for filling up bottles was a great bonus, but don’t bring your refilled water bottle to dinner (we were going for a walk afterwards) , as the waiter advised it was prohibited and if the police come he couldn’t help us!! … yes I rolled my eyes, I understand they want us to purchase drinks at dinner, but the police? Anyway….
Since this trip was primarily for my parents, I booked half board for convenience. If you are used to massive all-inclusive resorts or are looking for a gourmet dining experience, the food options will feel a bit limited but it was all very nice and my parents throughly enjoyed it every night. No drinks are included at dinner. However, for a straightforward, easy holiday, it was perfect.
Breakfast offered a good standard selection of cereals, yogurts, breads, eggs, pancakes, an omelette station, and bacon (which seemed to be ham) and drinks. Anyone can walk in and pay €14 for the breakfast buffet or €24 for dinner.
The hotel team was very responsive and helpful via email (and face to face), though you cannot reserve specific room types in advance. I requested double beds for both rooms, but this is subject to availability. We were given two single beds in one room, but they did advise us we could try and move the following morning if there was availability.
The rooms were cleaned daily, and the staff were friendly. You can’t always have it all, but this had everything we needed and we would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed our time here.

I would stay here again.
Overall it was a good stay at the Best Western Plaza hotel. Comfortable room, small but perfectly functional bathroom. Large shower with hot water and powerful spray at all hours. Kind and helpful staff. Linens changed daily. Presence of a kettle with various teas and coffee. Excellent breakfast rich in many fresh products, vegetables, fruit, cooked items, and pastries. Although dinner was also varied, I did not find it particularly attractive. The main dishes were more suitable for a cold, winter climate, stews and other main courses rich in sauces and gravies. There were many young English and Spanish men and women who, especially the first night, caused a disturbance. The staff intervened promptly and security kept watch the following nights to ensure it did not happen again. The pool is pleasant and relaxing. A pleasant stay. A good hotel in the center.

A lovely hotel, but the noise was a major problem
The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is good, and the location is perfect. Most of the staff are friendly and the housekeeping is excellent.
Unfortunately, our holiday was quite badly affected by the large groups of teenagers who seemed to take over much of the hotel during our stay. They ran through the hallways, shouted, played loud music, and constantly slammed doors. Especially in the evenings and at night, this caused a huge amount of disturbance.
We did get the impression that the hotel was actively trying to get the situation under control. Reception and security regularly spoke to the teenagers, and the staff seemed to be actively looking for solutions. After we reported the disturbance ourselves, we were also offered a different room. We accepted the move and went to another floor, but unfortunately it was exactly the same there. So, sadly, changing rooms did not help.
I have noticed that the hotel says in its replies to reviews that it has a "zero tolerance" policy and that it can sometimes be a little noisy because of the different types of guests. Of course, we understand that different kinds of guests stay at a hotel and that some noise is unavoidable. However, our experience went far beyond "occasional noise". It was happening every evening and every night.
For that reason, I think the hotel's "zero tolerance" policy should be taken with a grain of salt in this case. The hotel was clearly making an effort to speak to the teenagers and improve the situation, but there were very few noticeable consequences for their behaviour. As a result, the teenagers didn't seem to take the warnings seriously and the disturbance kept happening. At the same time, we did get the impression that the hotel was working on stricter rules and actively looking for solutions, which we appreciated.
That makes it even more of a shame, because otherwise it is a nice hotel with many positive points. But the ongoing disturbance ruined a significant part of our holiday and meant that we didn't get the peace and relaxation we came for. For that reason, we would not book this hotel again during the high season.

Review
We checked in as a family of 5 to be given rooms on separate floors. It was as advertised as a family hotel which is far from the truth. We stayed for a week and during this time there were up to 10 groups of late teen single sex groups who were there to party. The noise at night made it hard to sleep as there was music and slamming of doors into the early hours of the morning. This was happening on all floors of the hotel. Beautiful hotel, most if the staff are lovely just not the family break we had saved for.

Location was great. Probably one of the best locations on the Island. Room was clean and breakfast was OK. But pool was far too small for the size of hotel and there were no other amenities.
The biggest downside and why I gave it a 3 Star is the this hotel is not a place where you can take your family.
Furthermore the guests had no consideration for others. Large groups walking around at all hours and making lots of noise.
If all you want is to visit a place that has stunning views, with your family stay somewhere else.
