Perfect apartment in the center and a stone's throw from the sea
The room on the first floor is spacious, clean and has a leap food overlooking the main street. There is also a refrigerator, sink and dishes for eating cold dishes in the room. The bathroom with shower and 'clean, has a hairdryer. Every day cleaning is done in the room. The sea is 5 minutes, maybe less, and Skala beach is very well equipped with a crystal clear sea and full of fish.

Mariannis Studios
The place is tired to say the least. Tui falsely advertise kitchenette, as you only get a kettle and a fridge. I complained to TUI about lack of facilities and they gave me £200, so they know this is falsely advertised as they wouldn't have given us anything. The toilet was disgusting, see pics. The picture of the bag over the cupboard was the rubbish bin, no bin just a bag. The cleaner who came everyday was not the best. She used the water dripping out of the aircon on the balcony to clean the floor inside. Took a cigarette out of the pack on the table and asked for a light. Helped herself to my face wipes to clean the outside table ! Check out my photos. With a bit of effort and some upgrading these little studios could be great as they are very centrally placed. The bonuses for this place were location, free aircon and safe. If you want self catering, don't stay here

Further to the earlier review by Kitty I felt I should add our own experience.
We stayed here in Sept '23 after booking through TUI and were decidedly underwhelmed. The coach from the airport dropped us off at the kiosk in the center of Skala and if we hadn't known Skala would have had trouble finding Mariannas because the location provided by TUI was incorrect. Although that has now been corrected I would recommend that anyone staying here finds the place on Google Street View first because there is no nameplate on the gate. It's on the side street below The Venue bar and the entrance is off the litle square opposite Galera taverna.
It's in a prime location really in that it's a five minute stroll to the beach and right in the center of the bars and tavernas but on a quiet side street.
When we got to Mariannis there was no-one to meet us and we had to ask in the shop around the corner how to contact the keyholder. The shop assistant seemed to be accustomed to this and phoned the keyholder for us who had to come from Big Village apartments. After first being given a room that was already occupied we found ourselves in a corner room upstairs overlooking the street and square.
The rooms are very basic like much budget accommodation in Greece but they are also in need of a bit of maintenance. Like Kitty, our kitchenette was a kettle and an asthmatic (and rusty) fridge which have seen better days. Our kingsize bed was comfortable but there was insufficient storage space for two weeks clothing. I ended up using a cupboard above the kitchenette for my beachwear. The bathroom was 'adequate'.
Room service was variable in that we had clean sheets and towels provided after one day and then nothing for four days.
Would we stay there again?
In their present condition a definite no. At the prices TUI are asking there is much better accommodation available in Skala. Overall we were left with the impression that Mariannis is new to TUI and they couldn't be bothered to bring it up to scratch before they added it to their offerings. Unfortunately, from their current website view it appears that they haven't taken the opportunity of the closed season to make any improvements.
