Three weeks in paradise at the Hotel Skala

Our stays at the Hotel Skala in Patmos have now passed the fourteen-year mark, and this year we decided that our usual two weeks simply weren't enough. So we stayed for three, and we are very happy to report that each and every day was perfect!
After so many years, arriving at the Skala feels a little like coming home. The same wonderful team welcomes you with a friendliness, warmth and efficiency that are truly unsurpassed. The rooms and common areas remain comfortable and immaculately clean, and the hotel's location is still quite extraordinary: right near the colorful port and everything happening in Skala, yet the moment you walk through the beautiful bougainvillea garden entry and into the quiet courtyard, you leave all the bustle behind.
This year, I particularly want to mention two pleasures that became very much part of our daily routine.
Every morning began with the wonderful breakfast buffet, an exceptionally generous selection of hot and cold dishes combining all American and European favorites with delicious Greek specialties. Sitting outside on the peaceful terrace over breakfast is a lovely way to start another day on Patmos, and the photos give a good idea of just how tempting the selection is!
And most afternoons ended with a refreshing dip in the hotel's spacious seawater swimming pool. With its sundeck and wonderfully peaceful setting, it is a little oasis and the perfect place to relax after a day at the beach or exploring the island. Here again, the pictures speak for themselves.
Fourteen years after we first discovered the Hotel Skala, we still look forward to returning as much as ever. Three weeks in paradise this year, and we have already decided: three weeks again next year!

The location is perfect, the best place to stay on Patmos. Walking distance to almost everything. The hotel staff were amazing and the breakfast really good. The room was very basic but had a nice balcony, was nice size, and really all we needed. The a/c worked great and it was hot outside. Gorgeous pool with swim up bar. The bar doesn't open very early. I think it was fully open about the time you stop using the pool. lol.
Overall, clean, well located, great staff, excellent breakfast. You can't go wrong. I hope to stay here again.

Best staff ever

I stayed 8 days in this hotel. I had great time. The hotel is clean and it’s location is perfect. But I have special thanks to staff; Yannis, Odil, Markela, Pinelopi, Konstantine and all the other receptionists and the manager. They made our stay more beautiful. We felt like we are at our home. They are so helpfull and friendly. Thank you so much for everything and Hope to see you again.

I highly recommend this hotel quite exceptional for its Welcoming, cleanliness, great availability of people.
Quiet, very clean, spacious room, perfect breakfast and very varied.
