This location was perfect for us. It was tucked back on a quieter street away from the noise. The check-in was a little confusing, though. We didn’t see an office, so I ended up calling and telling them we were standing out front.

Absolutely lovely in a perfect location

This boutique hotel in Mykanos old port is a hidden gem. While it was not on the waterfront, it was close enough, and close to everything one might desire.
Our room was impeccably clean and neat, and quite charming. While we did have to walk up stairs to access it, that is pretty much every authentic location in Greece - it’s been around since before accessibility laws. Part of the charm is there is a perfect phot location in the alley by the door, and we watched streams of people, young and old, sitting in the step for a Mykonos photo.
We have to give a shout-out to the charming young lady who checked us in (Eleni), who made sure we felt truly welcome and ensured that we had everything we needed.
If we ever return to Mykonos and need to stay in the old port, we will certainly return to Elannas.

Never again horrible experience

This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve ever had.
The property looks nothing like the photos online. We chose this hotel based on the images and expected a bright, stylish boutique stay, but the reality was completely different. It genuinely felt like we had been catfished.
When we arrived, we were told we’d received a “free upgrade.” Unfortunately, it wasn’t an upgrade at all. The room was dark, cramped, and felt more like a basement or dungeon than a luxury accommodation. It was a significant downgrade from the room we had originally booked.
The balcony was so incredibly small that we couldn’t even get our suitcases past the outdoor table to enter the room comfortably. It was impractical and certainly not somewhere you’d want to relax during a holiday.
Even the original room we had booked didn’t resemble the photos advertised, making the whole experience feel very misleading.
When we politely raised our concerns, the owner was dismissive and became rude instead of trying to understand or resolve the situation. Rather than feeling like valued guests, we felt like an inconvenience.
We’ve stayed in many hotels throughout Greece and around the world, and this was by far one of the most misleading experiences we’ve had. If you’re booking based on the beautiful photos online, be aware that they did not reflect what we were given.
We rarely leave negative reviews, but we hope this helps other travellers make an informed decision. We would not stay here again and cannot recommend this property.

Untrustworthy hotel

Our experience at this property was extremely disappointing. From the moment we raised concerns that the accommodation did not match the photos advertised online, we felt completely disregarded. Instead of listening to our concerns, the host was dismissive and repeatedly told us that we “shouldn’t be confused” because this was what we had booked. The way we were spoken to felt condescending and left us feeling intimidated rather than supported.
Because of how uncomfortable the situation became, we changed the lock code before leaving the property for the day, as we still had our belongings inside and our reservation was active for another four days. Despite this, the host attempted to enter the room, which was very upsetting considering we were still paying guests with a valid reservation.
Following this, we received multiple WhatsApp messages telling us that we were not allowed to change the code. The repeated messages made us feel harassed and unsafe, especially after already expressing how uncomfortable we felt. We eventually had to block the host because the communication had become overwhelming.
We expected a professional response to our concerns, but instead we were met with rudeness, dismissive behaviour, and a complete lack of respect for our privacy. Based on our experience, I would not recommend staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eleanna’s. The communication was excellent. We were upgraded to a sea view room which was absolutely wonderful. It was a great location very close to all the shops and restaurants. It was a bit of a climb for the sea view room, but worth every step and Alom helped us schlep our bags up the stairs. We would stay there again. The sea view suite had a little kitchenette and hot plate, but we ate all our meals out as the food in Greece is amazing! It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, the shower was hot, and the view was unbelievably gorgeous.
