Great location
The location was ideal just on the outskirts of Mochlos (a beautiful Cretian village you can't get to without your own transport). The villa was ideal for two couples or a small family. The rooftop pool a haven in the heat of the day and the balcony ideal for meals. The 180 degree view of the bay is stunning and a walk into town each night to eat in some great restaurants was perfect.
Eleanor was a perfect host, helpful, informative (She worked as an archeologist on the Minoan site on the island opposite) and very hospitable.
I'd highly recommend.

Unfriendly/Unsettling Behaviour of a Host
My partner and I were waiting for a ride outside this hotel. We weren't smoking, throwing garbage, talking loudly etc. Occasionally, we would lean or sit on the short brick column outside on the public street.
We are MATURE adults.
A woman with curly purple hair/glasses came running out screaming at us to get away from her property. She stated people had stolen from her before. We explained we were outside her locked private property causing damage to anyone. She then took her phone out and said she was calling the police.
I deal in guest services and find this despicable behaviour.
Everyone works hard for their money. I would never want anyone to stay at a property where you are treated like garbage.
I will stay at my room at Remezzo and Havaki Villas gladly over this property.

Halcyon days indeed
The Villas are excellent, we were staying In Halcyon. 2 beds, large living area, balcony overlooking the sea and.... a pool on the roof with fabulous views over to the mountains one way and the village the other. Fabulous. Eleanor and her family made us feel welcome and we had a brilliant week, sometimes heading off to the spectacular eastern coast and sometimes hanging around the villa and village.
We love archaeology, so with Minoan settlement on the little island of Mochlos, Gournea and Kata Zakros all within range, it is a great base.
We will be back!!
