THE BEST HOTEL!!!!

I honestly can’t recommend this hotel enough!!!!! From the location to the staff & atmosphere . We were treated like family, a special shoutout to George , Anais , Jimmy & Sprios. If you needed anything they would sort it out for you straight away. We have honestly made friends for life & will 100% be booking again next year! If you’re thinking of booking DO IT!!! Very clean & located right next to the beach & the strip. We went on an amazing boat trip all sorted from George at the hotel & would 100% recommend to go on to see the unreal views!! Thanks again all the staff at the Canadian

Please take guest safety seriously

I want to share an experience I had during my stay at Canadian Hotel. I want to start by saying that the other members of staff I interacted with were genuinely very nice and friendly, and I otherwise had positive interactions with them. This review is not intended to reflect negatively on every member of staff. However, there was one incident during my stay that left me feeling extremely unsafe and that I believe management should be aware of.
At approximately 2 a.m., I called reception and asked for a blanket. I was told that someone would bring one to me. A male member of staff then came to me, but instead of bringing the blanket, he asked me to follow him.
I was dressed in my night clothes and followed him through the hotel, around to the back and down a set of stairs. There were no other guests around, and as we continued further away from the main areas of the hotel, I became increasingly uncomfortable.
He opened a door leading to an underground/service area and then took me to another door marked “Staff Only.” He opened it and told me that I could go inside and choose any blanket myself.
At this point, I felt extremely unsafe and refused to enter. I stayed outside at the first door and I politely told him that I would wait outside and asked him to get the blanket for me.
He then explained that he had wanted me to choose it myself because he did not want to touch the blanket in case I minded. I told him that I did not mind at all and that he could get it for me. He asked me again whether I was sure before eventually going inside himself.
The item I received also appeared to be more like a bed throw/cover than the clean blanket I had expected.
The following day, I needed to extend my stay by one additional night. The hotel staff were very kind about this and moved me to a beautiful room in a newer area of the hotel with its own pool. I genuinely appreciated this gesture and how friendly the staff were toward me.
However, something about the explanation has stayed in my mind. I was told that they wanted to put me there so that I could be “more comfortable.”
What confused me was that I had never complained about the incident from the previous night. I had not told the staff that I had been frightened, uncomfortable. So I still do not understand why making me “more comfortable” was specifically mentioned.
I do not know whether this had any connection whatsoever to what happened the night before, and I do not want to make an assumption that it did. It may have been nothing more than the hotel being kind while arranging my additional night. I am simply including it because the wording stood out to me given what I had experienced only hours earlier.
To this day, I do not understand why a guest who called reception at 2 a.m. asking for a blanket to be brought to her room was instead asked to follow a man through an almost empty hotel, downstairs and into an underground restricted area. I especially do not understand why I was asked to enter a room clearly marked “Staff Only” when he was perfectly capable of retrieving the item himself.
I am not claiming to know what this man’s intentions were. I don’t know. What I do know is how the situation unfolded and how genuinely unsafe I felt in that moment.
Again, I want to emphasise that the other hotel staff I interacted with were lovely, and I appreciated the kindness they showed me, particularly when helping me extend my stay.
However, I hope management takes this particular incident seriously, identifies who was working that night and looks into why this happened. Guests should never be put in a position where they feel they have to follow someone into an isolated staff-only area in the middle of the night simply to receive something they requested from reception.

An Honest Review

Pros:
The Canadian Hotel offers excellent room accommodations in terms of quality, cleanliness, and service. Housekeeping is consistent—rooms are cleaned daily, beds are made, and fresh towels are provided. The staff are genuinely polite, and several went out of their way to be especially helpful during our stay.
Cons:
The hotel caters primarily to a younger crowd, and this can create significant issues depending on where your room is located. Our first room was very close to the bar, which operates until 2:00 a.m. The noise only stops once the bar closes—unless you have late‑night drinkers lingering outside, which happens often, and by the time the security guy comes around, you are already up. It’s hard to understand why management hasn’t addressed such a huge issue—getting a good night’s sleep is essential, our health depends on that. We were fortunate to change rooms immediately, but imagine if no alternative room were available.
The hotel advertises free Wi‑Fi, but good luck getting a stable connection inside your room, where most guests actually need it. Adding a few access points would easily solve this, yet it seems unlikely since it hasn’t been done already. This is misleading.
Another major issue: we booked through Expedia twice—first for our initial stay, then again to extend it. Although the second reservation was properly recorded and fully paid for, the hotel’s system failed to recognize it. As a result, once the first booking ended, they simply locked us out of our room. We returned to find ourselves unable to enter our paid room, despite spending over €200 per night on average. I mean, seriously—that’s how you treat customers. No phone call, no message, nothing. Thankfully, the staff resolved the situation, but this should never have happened in the first place and left us with a bitter taste.
Overall:
Unfortunately, this was our experience. For the price the hotel charges, a higher level of service and better management oversight is expected. Whether these concerns will be taken seriously remains to be seen, but based on what we encountered, it’s doubtful.

Awful hotel great resort

Adverts very misleading. Operates as 2 business's a 4 and 3 star. The photos and lots of info for 4star.
If unlucky enough to be in 3* might as well be a hostel for the laganas strip crowd, expect waking up ( if you as lucky enough ti sleep in the 2 pushed together single beds, with a single sheet and 1 micro pillow for bedding) to the sound of vomiting at 5am.
Says toiletries- 1 single use - bring them
Says air conditioning- not standard payable (and essential) at€10 a day
1970s style hairdryer attached to wall - bring one.
Pools for room only- bring beach towels
Says near beach about 10-15m walk
Don't write Laganas off great restaurants /bars especially on the beach just much better hotels than this

PERFECT PLACE

Beautiful hotel.
Impeccable cleanliness.
We found ourselves here at 8:00 PM because we were forced to leave the hotel that the agency had assigned us, and well, fantastic property, they gave us the room with a private pool included in the price.
I highly recommend it, we will return.
