Not everyone's cup of tea, but I loved it

-Water not always hot, but not a problem for me as the weather was extremely warm

Nothing like the photos/avoid

I don’t like writing negative reviews but this hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in. Ever. The photos on the website look nothing like the actual hotel. Our room had no window, the aircon barely worked and was noisy. The beds were uncomfortable. There were no drinking glasses provided. The shower was a nightmare-using it flooded the room with water. Just a thoroughly miserable experience really. We left at first light just so we could get fresh air. Also the wifi didn’t work and parking was an absolute nightmare- it took an hour to find a park on the outskirts of town. Avoid.

Typical Greece

Arrived at Kavala, decided to try the town side on our trip back to Turkey instead of the delightfully old Kavala fishing harbour just a quick trip around the headland by car, after our 7 weeks exploring Europe. Hotel Acropolis is hidden between shops and offices but has a character all of its own. Athena is a sweet lady owner who makes you welcome with her cheeky smile. The rooms are in need of updating, and the box like shower area tucked in the corner is quickly turned into a wet room ! however the view from our balcony was a sight for sore eyes. Luckily we had our own supply of tea/coffee etc.. and it’s plastic cups came in handy as there is nothing to offer guests on arrival. We had just a one nights stay which was perfect but would not recommend a longer stay. Parking is free everywhere and the hotel couldn’t be closer to everything. Just needs updating

Centrally Located

This is a centrally located hotel with very nice sea view from the front rooms. Affordable. There is no breakfast but this is no problem at all because you can find many places around to have a delicious breakfast. The hotel owner is a lady. She stays at the hotel all the time. It was nice to have conversation with her.

Great location, historical building but cold water :P

A very sweet and beautiful '' mama :) '' taking care of the hotel which is at a great location and has a very beautiful view but I had to shower with cold water and a little restoration is needed. Take the room with a balcony ;)
