Lovely stay at Saraya Resort!
Saraya Resort is a small cosy aparthotel with very nice staff who are incredibly helpful and accommodating. Lovely pool area! We had a studio superior room on the top floor with a great view of the sea. The apartment had what we needed to cook simple meals, the beds were good and the room was cleaned every day. It is not far down to the sea for swimming and several different cozy taverns with very good food. The hotel is located on a hill which means it gets uphill when you go home, but it was no problem for us. There is also a breakfast room for those who choose to buy for breakfast and a nice pool bar at the hotel that serves light dishes throughout the day. It can be good to know that the pool only opens at 10.30 and closes at 19.00. We were very happy with our stay at Saraya Resort!

The view, service, setting - wonderful!
True hospitality in a breathtaking setting. We’ve been guests 4 different times and each visit is spectacular. The hosts are wonderful and welcoming and the location is ideal.

Lovely staff shame about the apartment!
Looks beautiful on the outside but our room 124 was dark and dreary.
It was right at the back overlooking an allotment, a wood storage area, a big grey new building blocking any sea view and worse of a a chicken coop with some very noisy cockerels that woke us up at 5:00am every morning!
Bathroom was extremely dated and shower was very hit and miss !
Very often lacked water pressure and also very cold at times.
The fridge in our bedroom was very old and consequently very noisy all night!
The cleaner kept it very clean and changed towels every day.
The safe deposit box was located in reception not in room at a cost of two euros per night.
The swimming pool was very deep and cold.
We tried the breakfast on first day but not brilliant and definitely not worth 15 euros each !
Food and drinks prices at the bar were reasonable- but no atmosphere as hardly anyone used it.
Manolis and Katherina in reception spoke excellent English, they were both very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Any taxis let them book for you with Michaelis.
Also if you ask they will order you 6 bottles of water.

Saraya Resort
Friendly hotel, friendly service. Location is very good. We had excellent advices for the area. It was very nice of them to remember my husband’s birthday. The hotel was so nicely designed. It was just understated quality. Thank you very much Katherina for making our stat so joyfully.

Pleasant 2 weeks stay
Just returned from a 2 weeks stay. We had a studio afacing the pool/bar. The room was of a decent size and equipped to make a basic meal with a 2 ring cooker/sandwich toaster/kettle/coffee maker. It's a bit of a tight squeeze in the bathroom though.
Air con was 5 euro per night but worth it as it was exceptionally hot.
Rooms were kept clean, and towels and bedding changed regularly by our lovely cleaning lady who, on 2 occasions, left us freshly picked flowers in a glass.
The gentleman at reception was very helpful with useful information about the island.
The apartments were around 10 minutes stroll down to the sea front, where you will find a dozen or so tavernas. Special mention to Strakis, which is to the left at the bottom as you reach the sea front. A family run taverna with amazing food at reasonable costs.
I would have given 5 stars to Saraya, but for 1 reason. The pool is quite deep even at the shallow end, and as a none swimmer, I went in on the first occasion with a small rubber ring. There was no one in the pool or even around the pool on sunloungers, it was empty, so I couldn't see a problem with this.
I was told by the bar lady who was instructed by the elderly Greek lady owner that I had to get out of the pool as inflatables were not allowed. There was no sign saying that inflatables were not allowed in the pool, despite there being plenty of other pool rules.
So we had to spend our holiday by the beach so I could use the rubber ring in the sea. So please bear this in mind when you are looking to book here, especially if you are unable to swim or have children
