Friendly, comfortable and charming.

It's always exciting to drive down a dusty track to get to your accommodation - it makes it feel like a proper holiday adventure - the house and grounds were lovely, and Sylvain was very welcoming once we found him! We were shown to our airy, colourful, room which was full of interesting furniture and ornaments and told to make ourselves at home - this included using anything we needed in the kitchen downstairs, so that was a bonus. The bath was tiny but deep and the water was really hot, the wifi was pretty good and easy to access, the bikes were parked safely out of the way, the pool was very inviting and the grounds were packed full of colour - plants, pots and intriguing things, really great to explore. We requested an early breakfast, which Katherine served out on the terrace, and we really enjoyed chatting to her as we ate. I would definitely recommend La Boca, everything about it is fascinating, including the hosts.

What an amazing hidden gem in country France

And I mean hidden ... The GPS had a bit of trouble finding it, thank god for Google Maps! We left a stressful stay in Toulouse to get away from the crowds of peak season tourists to get some down time. I found this amazing place & the booked it for a night, wish it was for more! The host Katherine & Sylvian are absolutely lovely and what they have done with their eclectic and charming rustic French Maison is amazing. We would have been happy to just stay there however there was a festival in the town so we went in for dinner in the medieval town in Sommieres. We had an amazing meal at a beautiful Italian restaurant recommended by Katherine and we were not disappointed. After a lovely meal and walk through the town we headed back to La Boca. It was a beautiful night in their charming garden & we invited our hosts to share our lovely Bordeaux red. For the next couple of hours we had a fantastic time talking about France & Australia with our charming hosts. The next morning we had an amazing breakfast served in a beautiful garden setting before reluctantly packing our bags and moving on. There are two things to do in Sommieres, stay at La Boca and soak up the food & wine of the old town! I hope we can come back again one day.

A delightful stay in a hidden gem.

This charming B&B is tucked away down a small secluded lane, but only a few minutes drive from the center of Saummiers, where Lawrence Durell lived. Our room was spacious with a lovely eclectic decor, and the pool and gardens provided a wonderful place to relax after a day of traveling. The breakfast of fresh croissants and fruit on the patio was a delight, but what made it all truly special was the warmth and hospitality of our hosts. It was a brief stay that left us wishing it had been longer.

A Wonderful Find

This is a B&B in a manor slightly outside of town in a wonderful setting. It was all and more than we were looking for. The hosts are amiable, helpful and fun to talk to. At breakfast you felt as if you were an honored guest in a friend's home. Hopefully, we will travel through this area again in the near future and will be sure to book our stay here.

Wonderful place from which to tour the region

After staying one night in a hotel in Sommieres, we were pleasantly surprised by this wonderful, quiet and relaxing B&B. Clean and well maintained, with marvelous breakfasts and terrific hosts who went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed. Highest recommendation!
