Very nice hotel

Very nice hotel, well located in relation to Paimpol and the island of Bréhat.

Mediocre and old-fashioned: find yourself another place to stay!

Only the exterior is nice: neither the interior space of the hotel nor the rooms nor the staff are ... better to laugh about it.
The photos will speak for themselves.
Negative points: The bedroom door is horribly heavy to hold back to prevent it from slamming and startling all the occupants (fire door dating back to Methuselah); the bedroom hallway is so narrow that one person has to go into the small room on the side and hold the door open so the other can get out while pulling their suitcase.
You can hear the conversations of the occupants of the neighboring rooms: worse, I even thought someone was in my room when it was actually the neighbors moving around in theirs.
Bathroom +- ok but no shower gel available, cheap plastic toothbrush cups like at a campsite, and you shouldn't have legs that are too long to be able to sit on the toilet seat
Positive point: everything is very clean, the hotel is located about 40 minutes on foot from the
pier for the island of Brehat via a very pretty path in the middle of nature; parking

No empathy from the owner

I booked 10 nights from 7/19 to 7/29/26 at the Relais De Launay. Unfortunately, my husband had to be hospitalized in an emergency on 7/19 and I had to cancel the reservation. After checking with the owner today, 7/23, the room was indeed re-rented. I asked for a commercial gesture: a refund, even partial, or a credit for a future stay, but no gesture was made or offered. I therefore lost €1000 and the hotel sold a room twice!
I deplore the owner's lack of empathy. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT.

MEDIOCRE

Of course the prices are very affordable, but know that for this price you will have a room a little bit larger than a campervan and I am not even talking about the bathroom...Meals are only served on site on request and the number of dishes is really limited. We had booked for two nights and stayed the second night at another local property, much better than this one for a reasonable price differential. To flee...

Vous avez sélectionné une chambre en premier tarif, qui sont d'ailleurs les plus sollicitées par rapport au prix, vous êtes restés apparemment 2 nuits, vous auriez pu nous demander une chambre plus grande, vous ne l'avez pas fait !

Very good step on the GR 34

Small Inn unpretentious, but where we had a great time during a stage on the GR 34. Located between the village of Ploubalzannec and the tip of the ArcOuest, we spent 2 nights to visit the Ile de Bréhat. Very convenient when one is on foot, a bus stop is located in front of the Inn to take you to Paimpol in one direction or 50 m to Pointe de l'Arcouest in the other direction. The room was small and simple but clean and functional. The breakfast, very hearty: bread, pastries, cheeses.... excellent and what about the fish cooked in the evening by Philippe for his guests, a wonder, we had not eaten such a good fish for a long time (hazelnut butter caper line and vegetables), a very good step to recommend.
