good price for clean place, close to transportation, but small, no elevator and air-condition

Management Disappointments

Les Fontaine hotel is a fine place to stay until push comes to shove, and then beware.  My ankle was surgically realigned on my third day of a planned twenty four day stay in the hotel, as a result of a fall in a Paris cafe. Though I was assisted by my husband I could only get from our Uber to the hotel lobby through the help of two good samaritans.  My leg was in a cast and I was in pain. Though the night clerk was very helpful he could not get management to reply to his request that we be moved to a room he said was vacant on the first floor, because once there I would have to negotiate steps. Even reaching our room on the third floor by elevator would have been problematic and painful.  As a result, I spent that night in the lobby.  Incidentally, I am eighty two years old, my husband eighty four.
Though this is my first TripAdvisor post, my husband routinely posts these, which until now have all been positive.  In fact, his post on last year’s stay was laudatory.  
When he used WhatsApp to give management an opportunity to correct or amend facts proposed in his evaluation they failed to respond.  And when management claimed they had responded they failed to prove as much by resending the responses they allege. In fact, there is no such response on WhatsApp or via email.  His attempt to reach an agreement on the facts, prompted management to cry black mail. Not until the last paragraph of their response to his post on TripAdvisor did they show any compassion passing for an apology.

Terrible experience, the person who attends had terrible treatment, I wanted to wash my hands and he said to wait until 3pm when check-in began, if you weigh more than 90kg and are 1'80 tall you will not fit in the bathroom. The worst thing about Paris, I don't recommend it even to my worst enemy

Safe zone and easy to move to the main city places

Excellent if you want to have a place to go to sleep and being closer to the main city spots and attractions.
The bathroom and cleanliness could be improved.
The owner was very helpful; he let us left our bags there until the check in.

Terrible experience. The owner broke into our room in the middle of our sleep

Toilets are really dirty and very small so that your clothes cleans all the dirt and stuff, disgusting!! Although we ordered a room for two, the bed was just a bit wider than single bed. The design of the room and the corridor is like a prison and everywhere is very dusty and smell damp. There is no security at all, the hotel is is open to strangers 24/7.
But the most horrible part is, owner/receptionist was brave enough to break into our locked room with his keys while we were sleeping in the afternoon. We were very tired and probably didn't hear if he knocked the door but come on! how the hell do you think you can enter our room even if we are out. It has been just 2 hours since you gave it to us.
I can still see the terror in my wife's eyes. It was terrible experience to hear someone breaking in in the middle of your sleep, especially if you are very conservative Muslim family with hicab. I believe the owner is also from Islamic origin but a terrible human being. He is a shame!
If you have already booked from this place, I suggest you to cancel it if you don't want to ruin your visit. One thing maybe sheets were clean but the blanket on top was smelly. And also the location, as mentioned by many other reviews is good, but we still had to take transportation to many places, so it does not really save the place. Just pay a bit more and book somewhere else
