Guessing, the alchemy of awakened dreams

La Devinie,
Where, for my part, time stood still on a parenthesis. It opened as soon as Sylvie's warmest welcome. Discreet and yet always available to bring you the greatest care. Guessing and its spacious spaces, exudes wisdom and benevolence, gives you stars in the eyes. An artistic sensibility where the alliance between the old and the contemporary tells you a story. The large "breakfasts" diverse and varied, homemade, adapted to my allergies were a treat. Valuable recommendations and advice from Sylvie on places and visits to the surroundings illustrated with their respective stories.
The rainy weather did not ruin my blue sky, the sun was in these places. The pool will be for next time! Yeah, well, guess what, we punctuate the "goodbye" with a "see you soon." Besides, not being able to close the bracket, I extended my stay. The village of Martel is a medieval city and one of the most beautiful villages in France with the particularity of being alive and animated, moreover, magnificent.
Long live my next break to the Guess.
In conclusion, I would say, it's worth going to see if I'm telling the truth.

La Devinie is Superb - we can't wait to return!

We cannot say enough about La Devinie! We had a wonderful stay. The rooms are spacious and lovely, large bathrooms with shower, beautifully decorated with a chic sense of style. The breakfasts are incredible, made with care and kindness. The rest of the house - living spaces, garden - are generously sized and beautifully cared for. Sylvie has a keen eye for blending traditional and contemporary, the old and the new. Sylvie has created a gem and we cannot wait to bring more of our family back with us! The location is perfect, an easy walk to everything in Martel. Martel is a GEM of a town, with good sites and restaurants, shop and 'life' happening, and near so many incredible castles and charming villages. Our family has come to Martel for decades but this was our first stay with Sylvie at La Devinie. We will return happily again and again!

very nice stay

Very interesting property in the heart of Martel. Large room with a seated area which was very welcome. The only strange thing was for such a large room and separate bathroom we had no hanging space; just a cupboard with some shelves under the eaves of this large old house (it also housed the TV but didn’t need that). Breakfast was included and include lovely homemade yogurt which was delicious and plenty of homemade cakes (too many for my husband who is diabetic).
Martel is a lovely town but be careful as on Monday very few restaurants are open so best make a reservation for those that are. Also the restaurants stop serving apéritif’ at about 5pm as they are getting ready for dinner which was very annoying. Couple of shops including a small supermarket just outside the medieval centre which was useful.
Parking for the hotel was just across the road in a residential street but luck of the drawer if you get a space. Good base for exploring this area and there is a heritage steam railway just a short walk from the town.

Charming home

Great stay too short in this beautiful beautifully decorated house.
There is a very good atmosphere, Sylvie, the owner, is very welcoming, the homemade breakfast is panagraulic
In short, a place where you feel good
