Perfect for 3 nights
Typically put off by the bad reviews I read leading up to our stay but they couldn’t have been more wrong! Clean hotel, friendly staff and absolutely loads to do. Arcades, bowling, soft play, play park & swimming. We were probably lucky we didn’t go in peak heat, rooms were cool enough. Breakfast was ok, we opted continental only which was plenty, only down side was them cleaning up 20 minutes before close which was a bit frustrating as you felt a bit rushed to get on with it. Would highlight that bunk beds are closest to the entry door of the rooms which was a little off putting for us with a 4 year old being closest to the door but that is personal preference.
The reviews related to the shuttle don’t lie, that was carnage as they pick up and drop to 5 hotels! They run very regularly but need more organisation, especially leaving the park- its a huge free for all with lots of pushing, shoving and jumping in. We decided to walk back the second day, 25 min walk on a clear footpath was worth it to avoid the madness. Overall a good stay if you’re looking for somewhere to lay your head and entertain the kids between check in and check out.

Good value friendly hotel
We were a Family of 9 in 3 rooms and stayed for 4 nights. The hotel didn’t disappoint. Don’t believe all the reviews. Rooms were comfortable plenty of towels. No aircon but we found the ceiling fan kept us cool enough as we were only in the rooms from late at night to early morning and the windows opened too. Rooms were cleaned every day.
Breakfast was good. We knew it was continental if you wanted a cooked breakfast it was available at a small extra cost. It was busy but we always found seats there were plenty of coffee machines and toasters so there was never a queue. Lots of choices fruit cereals ham cheese pastries etc.
the free shuttle worked well it was every 10 mins at peak times. Yes they get crowded but your only on for about 15 mins. We always got on even with 3 pushchairs. Part of our group stayed for the fireworks and the busses were very busy so decided to walk back. There’s a footpath all the way and it took them 25 mins.
We only used the pool on the last day first thing in the morning. It was fairly quiet. All clean and the flumes etc were good fun. There’s an outdoor play area which looked good but we never got out to it.
We only used the pizza takeaway one evening, the pizzas were very nice. The bars a bit expensive but we didn’t go for that.
All in all a very enjoyable good value hotel as close to Disney without being expensive. Would definitely recommend

Amazing 5-Day Stay at Explorers Hotel!
We had a fantastic 5-night stay, and our 7-year-old absolutely loved the pirate theme and was so sad to leave!
The Good:
Free Disneyland Shuttle: A great bonus running every 15 minutes. Tip: After the fireworks, the stop gets crammed with no extra buses running—paying €40 for a taxi back was well worth avoiding the massive crowds.
Dinner Buffet: Well worth paying extra. Excellent variety, including meats, seafood, cheese, vegetables, and gorgeous desserts (includes 1 drink per person, plus a jug of tap water).
Pool: Very busy in the afternoon/evening, but practically empty in the morning.
Things to Keep in Mind:
No A/C or Gym: Rooms can get a bit warm, and there are no fitness facilities on-site.
Limited Food Variety: Standard complimentary breakfast lacks hot items like eggs, porridge, pancakes, or waffles (though you can pay to upgrade to an American breakfast).
While we had a very good experience, next time we would likely stay in a different hotel due to the lack of food variety and missing gym facilities. Still, a wonderful place for kids!

Great holiday on this hotel
We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel apart from the heat in the rooms with no air conditioning. Very clean rooms and throughout hotel. Check in smooth and friendly. The pool is fantastic and my grandson enjoyed it every day . I thought the evening buffet was expensive at €32 per adult so we didn’t go. The pizza from the hotel was lovely but I thought some of the drinks were overpriced eg €6.50 for a small 200ml milkshake. We had a lovely meal in the pub type restaurant (photo attached). Transfers to Disney; we never encountered any issues going or coming home. Overall we had a great time and would return

Fantastic entertainment area
Fantastic entertainment area for kids with a great indoor pool. Much needed for down time from the theme parks
