Everything could have been perfect but ... the fall is hard!!!
On a business trip in the South East from October 12 to 16, we booked two rooms, on October 13 and 14, at the “Le Clos des Cambres” hotel. This reservation was made by imprint CB on the phone directly with the owner. On the night of the 12th to the 13th, we had a very serious accident. We miraculously escaped unscathed but our vehicle was not. To reorganize on Monday morning to pick up a vehicle, we had to review our program so that we could honor all our appointments this week.
On the 13th at 8:00 am, we called the owner to explain the situation and ask her to cancel both rooms for the night of October 14. She agreed without mentioning that the overnight stay was due.
On October 15th or 16th, we discovered with astonishment a €400 withdrawal from our account instead of the €200 due. We tried in vain to contact the owner, thinking there was a mistake. It was finally via email that we managed to reach her on October 27. On November 11, after insisting on an explanation while asking her to refund us the 200€ unduly received, she finally replied by specifying that “in case of interruption of the current stay, 100% of the amount will be due and charged”. We replied that the stay had not begun since, as mentioned on his website, the arrival time is scheduled at 5:00 pm i.e. 9:00 am after our call.
Since we had no response, let alone a refund of the €200 unduly withdrawn, we were therefore forced to initiate proceedings with the legal department of our bank.
We are doubly shocked, not only because it is an unfair commercial practice but especially considering the circumstances of the cancellation of our second night, we still nearly died in this accident and the owners are not even capable of compassion or benevolence. It is too easy to be pleasant when everything is going well, it is in difficulties that you see the true nature of people.
It goes without saying that we will not set foot in this establishment again and will not fail to advertise it ad hoc, especially in this beautiful region that we know well and where we have many friends.

very good stay
the setting is superb, quiet.
the rooms are beautiful and very clean, you can go there with your eyes closed.
breakfast takes place in the main house, you are served fresh products.
To redo during the summer because they have a swimming pool and a summer kitchen.
