Don’t miss this place

I stayed at the mill for two nights.
It was much too short, what a magnificent place!
I'll be back!
Everything was perfect, the warm welcome, the room, the environment with the sound of the river running under the mill, the heron in front of the breakfast terrace...
A real discovery.

Place with no phone signal

We booked for 2 nights at the Moulin de Latreille. What we didn’t realize is that the place is very isolated and there was no mobile coverage. Since this was impossible for me as my business requires me to be connected at anytime, we had to find an alternate location for 2 nights. To our disappointment, even we immediately informed the owner (after we get to a place with phone reception) that we need to leave, she refused to reimburse us. I tried to offer one night fee as a middle ground yet she refused. FYI.

An idyllic place to stay

Four of us (two couples in our 60's) stayed at Moulin de Latreille in September 2022. It is a unique and idyllic place; totally peaceful and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the terrace and watching kingfishers flitting across the millpond in the evening - or, in the morning, enjoying breakfast as the sun rose over the hill opposite.
There is loads to do - cycling, walking or canoeing on the river - or just relax! We had planned our visit as part of a cycling tour of the region, but had to revise our plans in the light of temperatures in excess of 30 degrees on several days.
Fi and Giles are fantastic hosts, very friendly and unassuming, and they spare no effort in making their guests at home. Over 30 years they have created a fantastic home, shown off to effect with quirky and unusual artworks. They kindly stored our food and wine in their fridge on one day so we could have a picnic in the evening evening. Giles invited me on a - mountain-bike ride one morning (I reluctantly had to decline due to being poorly overnight).
The rooms are spotless and lovingly decorated. Our visit was too short: we look forward to returning at the earliest opportunity. Thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful place and great hosts!

This place is just gorgeous! The setting can’t be beat and our hosts, Fiona and Giles were super helpful, welcoming and made us feel totally looked after! We’re definitely going back! The riverside terrace breakfast was delicious and we loved the chorus of frogs coming from the river.

A wonderful wedding venue

What a wonderful place for a wedding reception!
But the Moulin de la Treille is now also a gîte! Imagine spending a week or more in this amazing place!
Beautiful grounds surrounded by cliffs and your own river where you can swim and canoe. What an idyllic holiday!
