Good for an overnight stop that’s a bit different!
We stayed for a one night stop over and hired the family area with two double rooms and a shared bathroom. Beautiful chateau and courtyard. Original artefacts and wooden 4 poster beds. We made the most of the pool (decorated in a Thai kind of style, somewhat run down) even in a storm! It’s unsurprisingly remote, we found a great Crêperie in Chezelle called Le Colibri which was perfect.
Had breakfast at the chateau, we were asked what time we wanted to eat which got our hopes up! Breakfast was basically a croissant each, rather minimal and disappointing!

For the record, you personally praised us upon your departure, stating that everything was "sublime" and highly complimenting our breakfast, which you thoroughly enjoyed.

Castle life
Joseph and Ogan told us the story of this castle. We learned that the Allier was one of the largest castle departments in this former Bourbon stronghold.
The room filled with objects of the time, takes us back in time while keeping some comfort.
The place is quiet, the castle is close to a highway but we can not hear the noise.
The aquatic space is nice, zen...hyper well thought out and decorated.
We spent a pleasant night.
