Incompetent staff
When we returned in the afternoon, we found that the assigned room was tiny and very dark; we could hardly move in it, much less leave our luggage in an appropriate place. We went down to reception and told them that the room assigned to us did not correspond to an executive room; the response was that they knew but there were no executive rooms with two beds. In response to our request for a refund for the excess amount paid, the answer was that they invited us to a drink at the bar.
We spent the night in that room, but the next morning we coincided with the person who had received us upon arrival (who also spoke Spanish). We explained our complaint and he immediately set out to find a solution. He provided us with a much larger, comfortable, and bright room with two beds.
Thank you very much, Liliana, for your professionalism and respect for the customer. If the rest of the reception staff we contacted had had the same professionalism, I would not have rated the hotel so low.
Another problem is the dining room. It is shared with the hotel next door and clearly the space is limited. The breakfast is not very varied or of great quality, and there is also not enough staff to replenish the food items that run out.

Beautiful establishment, very pleasant and welcoming staff.
It's a pity that the air conditioning system is noisy and ultimately cools very little or not at all.

What a pity.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
We had breakfast, and on this point, we were not disappointed; there is everything: eggs, bacon, cheese, cold cuts, pastries, fruits, dairy products… in short, it is great.
Two problematic points for me:
- there is no parking, so you must park in one of the paid public parking lots in Chartres.
- we were on the 4th floor (under the roofs) and it was extremely hot in the room. The problem is that there is air conditioning, but you cannot control it. I asked the front desk to lower the temperature while we went to dinner, but upon our return, it was still 26°C, and the fan was running at full blast with no way to turn it off. We therefore spent a "noisy" night (thank goodness for noise-canceling headphones).
We did, of course, open the windows, but we faced the street where there are kebab shops with people talking very loudly even at 11:30 PM.
In short, one night was okay, but a long stay would have been problematic.

It was almost very good.
Two downsides:
-We spent two nights during a heatwave. While the air conditioning on the ground floor was excellent, it was inadequate and weak in our room on the third floor. We really felt hot.
-It is surprising to note that in this beautiful establishment of this standard, the trash bins were not emptied between the two nights and there was no minimum cleaning...
