Lovely small B and B in small champagne town. Beautiful views of the vines and wonderful champagne. Comfortable room and easy parking. We have been several towns and hope to return. Recommended.

sleep in a funeral home

we booked this accommodation as a stopover on the way back. From the photos it looked very pretty and based on pretty good reviews we thought it would be a nice place for our night. We specifically looked for a hotel with a restaurant so we wouldn't have to search for anything and on the website we read that there was also a restaurant so we booked straight away. When we arrived it was unclear where the entrance was, construction was going on and from a distance it looked like an office. Upon entering, it was anything but cozy and atmospheric. we were the only guests and it looked like a funeral home upon entering. the receptionist, on the other hand, was very nice, spoke to us kindly and helped us kindly. but… the restaurant turned out to not be open, so we ended up driving an hour from here to finally have a nice meal in the campanile. we dreaded having to go to Reims or Epernay with our car full of luggage, which was already a 30 or 45 minute drive. When we arrived after dinner there was no one left and we were able to get in with a code. the door looks a little shabby as the door handle was simply removed and the hole was not carefully concealed. There is already a large hole on the wall side of the door through the door handle when you open it. it also looks mediocre. Our room was neat, the bed was wonderful and the pillows were good. it was very hot; we could have opened a window, but in the middle of the night we hadn't thought of it; our own mistake. nice shower, although it lacks a pleasant hotel ambiance; the towels were not well laid out, the soaps came from an e.leclerc bottle and there were paper cups for water, quite basic. The coffee in the room comes from a bag and is instant coffee, so we left it alone for a while. Breakfast was in the restaurant room and was also very basic. a croissant and coffee and there were a few ingredients at the buffet, but they weren't allowed to have a name. the decor was plain and unpleasant, no good music in the background and things were not tidy. We were secretly expecting a glass of champagne with breakfast... if it had gone well, we would definitely have taken a box with us ;-) we left quickly and were greeted kindly again by the receptionist . what a shame this experience and what a lack for this hotel which would be so much more pleasant with a few adjustments to the atmosphere. It's definitely not worth the price. You should have expected that from the campanile, but you're also paying at least 100 less. no complaints from the friendly receptionist, she and the comfortable bed partly made up for it

Price is too high for the experience. Next time we will stay in Reims.

Extremely clean & well maintained. Communication was difficult & food was limited & nothing special.
