A genuinely beautiful stay
What a beautiful surprise!
I found this hotel when looking at an escape from Switzerland on August 1st due to the fireworks and my dogs being scared.
The most beautiful family running the hotel and restaurant would do anything to make you feel comfortable and happy.
The room had a beautiful view of the mountains and valley below, it was very clean and I'd say quite well sound proof, which is nice when you're travelling with dogs so they don't hear every single noise from outside. The window had a sturdy mosquito net which is a very good touch. It's also very quiet, I slept with the window open all night and there wasn't a single sound... just nature.
Don't get me started on dinner... I had the "rognons de veau" and they were so good. The lady kept reminding me that if I wanted more there would be more, but I ended up finishing the ones from the table next to me (in Australia they nicknamed me "bin chicken", because I always eat scraps from others). The wines are also really good, and their sorbetto was also outstanding.
The couple at the table next to mine told me about their mussels soup (as well as everything else really), but this needs to be reserved in advance, so it's good to know for next time :).
This is one of those places that warms your hearth, so in the end it's not about the location, the room, the food... to me there was just the right feeling that made me feel at home. It was like visiting family, even though I didn't know the people.
Beautiful hikes and bike rides possible around the place. There's also an electric car charger (I found that out in the morning, next time I'll probably use it).
It's close to Colmar, the Route du Vins and other beautiful spots.
I will definitely be back!
Some people in the reviews wrote about being scared of the two dogs... a few comments on this topic (since I have two dogs who could be quite "reactive" (just noisy) when crossing other dogs): the larger dog is so relaxed and kind, that you wouldn't even notice it. The other one is the sweetest most beautiful dog, she's quite scared and that's why she might bark, but she's genuinely sweet. AND, I simply asked the lady if they could lock them in for a minute when I walked in/out with my dogs, and she said "of course". So... people: just ask and be nice (in general in life... not just in this case), and most of the time people will be nice back to you.

More than good ,is this there????so come to the Ant
I went on November 15, 2024 with my sister and my little York for the weekend, it's not the first time , very warm welcome , the beds are extremely nice and the room very clean. The meals more than hearty and the services lead to the baguette but very friendly ,I have never seen in my life bites to the queen so large ,if you wish to rest it is ideal and all around there are very beautiful walks . I can only recommend it.

Super Birthday!
On the recommendations of Friends met in cure , we decided to meet at the Ant . It is a haven of greenery and freshness where calm reigns. We had booked 2 nights half board with our little dog. The Staff works as a Family , we are very well received , the cuisine is very good and hearty , they give a lot of pleasure to their customers . Always a word, a pleasant smile. You like good food; the quiet, then you are in the right place! You will not regret!
The icing on the cake , the beds are comfortable , soft to wish!
Disconnect from the screens , and come recharge in this timeless place!

CONGRATULATIONS FOR THE QUALITY OF YOUR WELCOME AND YOUR GOOD MOOD
Excellent stay of several days in this haven of peace, at the foot of many varied hikes, in the forest or on the stubble, nearby or by taking your vehicle.
We took the ½ board option. The cuisine is very tasty; and copious. We were spoiled, with new dishes every evening. We had the opportunity to see night after evening the good atmosphere that reigned among the delighted and satisfied guests.
Despite the heat and a lot of work for those who work for our pleasure, that is to say the welcoming family, everyone always has a smile and a word for everyone.
The room was very pleasant, with a magnificent view of the Grand Ballon. Pleasure of the eyes.
All of our guests' vehicles are electric, so batteries can be recharged.
Added to all this is advice on visits, hikes and services, always with a smile.
We had a stay that will remain in our memories. Thank you to everyone.
I would just suggest improving the wifi connection in the rooms. As far as possible.

Toujours aussi bon
Accueil chaleureux cadre montagnard les crudités sont toujours aussi bons et fraich le bouillon et ses croûtons comme dans le temp la viande du pot.au .feu fond dans la bouche et les desserts son énorme et bon tout ça avec un tokay d'Alsace que demande le peuple bravo a bientôt
