Situé dans le centre d'Avignon, à 15 minutes à pied du palais des papes et du pont de la ville, l'Hôtel Cloitre Saint Louis Avignon occupe un bâtiment du XVIème siècle doté d'une piscine extérieure sur le toit avec une grande terrasse bien exposée. Certains des élégants hébergements sont aménagés dans l'édifice historique qui présente des arcades et des voûtes aux plafonds. Vous bénéficierez gratuitement d'une connexion Wi-Fi. Les chambres climatisées non-fumeurs possèdent une télévision par satellite à écran plat et une salle de bains contemporaine pourvue d'un sèche-cheveux. Certains logements sont dotés d'un balcon donnant sur la cour. Le Saint Louis, le restaurant sur place, prépare une cuisine française traditionnelle. Vous pourrez dîner sur la terrasse en été et déguster une boisson au bar-salon. Un petit-déjeuner buffet est servi quotidiennement. The hotel needs to upgrade the rooms to accommodate places to plug in phones and laptops. in most rooms I have stayed in there are absolutely no places to plug in any kind of portable device. this is probably why I cannot stay there any longer after staying here several times a year for many years for business.

Lovely hotel in authentic historic building

This is an utterly charming hotel, set in the magnificent historic building of the former cloister. Our room had a lovely view of the central courtyard, and staff were unfailingly friendly. Dinner is available in the garden, a limited menu but tasty food. It is in a quiet spot 5’ walk rom the SNCF station / 10’ taxi to the TGV station, and in about 10’ you can walk to anywhere in the historic part of town. Highly recommended.

A unique, well equipped hotel near the station and city center. Lovely big rooms, roof top pool and breakfast in the cloisters. Highly recommend L'Explo for artisal beer and atmosphere.

Never again

This was our 3rd stay, but we will not be returning. It's fine if u don't need any type of customer service, but if u do, look elsewhere; there are plenty of hotels in Avignon. My primary issue is that I chose an "Exclusive Room" based on the description which appeared on the hotel website (see attached); it stated that the room included a balcony or terrace, & I selected & paid for it for that reason. However, I was assigned a room that had neither. When I alerted the front desk, they insisted that "Exclusive Rooms" do not offer this amenity. I showed them their own website indicating the description. Their response was only to say that their website was wrong. I requested a rate adjustment since I did not get what they advertised, but they completely ignored me. I wrote to their general manager, Jeremy Fogliata, requesting an adjustment, but 10 days have passed, & he has yet to respond. However, they have updated their website to eliminate the reference to balcony/terrace, so he must have received my message. Perhaps, this posting will prompt a response; customer service does not appear to be a priority. If you decide to take a chance on the Cloitre anyway, beware that check-in is strictly 4 pm & that even air-conditioned rooms are extremely warm in August since the system is old & inadequate. My advice is to select a hotel that cares about its' guests' needs rather than whatever is convenient for the hotel (e.g. late check-in, not updating the air-conditioning to 21st century standards, not replying to guests' issues).

Really lovely hotel and restaurant in Avignon

Fantastic location. Parking
Staff are great
Restaurant is very good
That’s to our waitress Ouley (forgive me if I spelled it wrong)
Food was tasty and delivered fast and waiting staff are great.
Ambiance is so romantic in the garden and we had such fun.
We will definitely be back and cannot recommend enough
