Incredibly well-preserved and quirky 1980’s ambience in the large rooms. Reception looks average but no matter. Location is excellent in the coolest neighbourhood of Helsinki with top dining options 5 mins away, harbourside walking tracks and 10 mins by tram or metro to the city-centre Esplanade and Cathedral or the famous Central Station by Eliel Saarinen.

Super city break
Location was very good. Walking distance from the city center, public transportation was very close and also several markets and eating out choices. Parking was also well organized and affordable. Only what bothered us was the extra bed that was very uncomfortable because bed creaked during every little move and if effected the sleeping quality a lot, the bed should be changed.

Excellent location close to public transportation, fun shopping and trails.Super friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast to suit anyone's palate. Our room was a bit small and dark, but we had a 6th floor room with a sauna and a balcony so the trade off was worth it!

Family-friendly hotel in a very good location
We have now been guests for the third time and think the hotel is really good and the staff very friendly and accommodating. For us as a family with children, the hotel is just right; there are nice, large family rooms in which a large extra bed offers enough space for 4 people. The beds are comfortable and good, the rooms clean and nicely designed. Where the hotel is today there used to be a circus, so this was incorporated into the design of the rooms, the lobby, and the breakfast rooms, and there are many beautiful details that lovingly remind one of the circus history. We were particularly impressed by the breakfast, which really fulfills every wish and is really particularly good in its variety and selection. The playroom for children makes it possible to sit in peace for a little longer at breakfast when the children are already finished with breakfast. We would love to come back.

Recommended.
For what Scandinavian hotels are, this is one of the best (and also one of the best in the Scandic chain).
Located in a very pleasant small square, less than one hundred meters from a transport hub (subway, airport bus, other buses, tram) and less than a kilometer from the train, the main square, cathedral, port, shopping area...
Room: mine was spacious, comfortable, and quiet, the only problem was the children on the floor above who jumped and ran as soon as they got to the room (fortunately they slept all night), reception offered to change my room, but I only had two days left and I preferred not to do it.
Cleaning: acceptable, but if you put up the do not disturb sign, they don't come back later and they don't do it anymore. No problem changing the towels and sheets.
Breakfast: room a bit old and not very big, but the buffet is one of the best in the Nordic countries.
The service at reception was wonderful... thanks for everything.
