Great Owner-Needs Serious Updating and Repairs

The check in was very good. The owner was friendly and helpful. He got us checked in quickly and showed us to our cabin.
The cabin that we stayed in was in serious need of repair. The screen door had a piece of wire sticking out for a handle, the main door stuck on the jamb as it was out of adjustment. There were pieces of ceiling texture missing, the shower had mold in the corners and the soap holder was rusty. The outside porch and railing were ready to fall over- paint peeling from the siding and porch railing. The room did feel clean, although.
We stayed 2 nights. There was no soundproofing whatsoever from the room next door. Good thing they only stayed one night.
The outside grounds were clean and we could park right outside our door.
I give the property a 2 star only because the owner was very nice. Its way past time for some serious updating and repairs!

BEWARE...bad place to stay.

This Lodge wins worst stay award. The place is Quant and cute but your mountainveiw is the roof that hangs way down...cant see until going down stairs. No ac..at all. Nasty notes telling you what you can do or not. They told me if I ate any food I would have to carry my own trash out. I was also told that I cannot lock the door when I leave the room because it will lock be locked and I cannot get back in and I have that in writing if anybody wants to question me about it they clearly text me that I would be locked out. In the end I was indeed thrown out and had to get the police to make sure the guy the owner was under control because he wasn't. Really really bad place to stay and I am a gold member with hotels.com I've never ever ran into this before. It is actually a manner of the owners ruining the place because it's actually nice and clean very sad but what they want apparently

Dangerously Unsanitary

Steer clear. Dangerously unsanitary, blood-stained sheets, mold in bathroom, trash pileup, infested with bugs, dirty towels, dirty carpet from 1930, blankets from 1970, duct-taped extension cords. You have to take your own trash with you. The owner, Edward/Eddie, will attempt to extort you for extra charges for each child, as well as extra money for parking to park on the dirt. He will also harass you and spy on you. The absolute worst.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE - DO NOT STAY HERE!

Poor facility….un kept
No air conditioning….interior design lacking in so many areas.
Thin walls; next tenant heard everything.
Noise from highway….
NOT a destination one should invest in.
Look further afield to stay in a residence worth the money

worst experience ever

We booked two rooms and our 19 year old son tried to check in and was turned away. They don't list it in the website, but they will not let people less than 21 years old check in. They turned them away on a Friday night. My sons had to go to Hesperia (30 miles away) and stay in a Courtyard Marriot. Then they refused to refund the money for the stay. It is illegal in California to discriminate based on age, and those age 18 or older (adults) are allowed to rent rooms. We now need to fight this with them in court to try to get our money back, but stay away at all costs (your cost).
