An unexpected delight.

Dirty
The two-bedroom room was spacious and worked well for our family of two adults and two kids. The beds were comfortable enough, we enjoyed the nice view of the river, and the complimentary breakfast was adequate.
Unfortunately, cleanliness was a major concern. The floor was so dirty that it left a thick black residue on our feet and socks after walking around the room. We also found a blood stain on one of the sheets, which was very off-putting.
Another issue was communication. The room phones didn’t work, but we weren’t told this at check-in. I also tried calling the front desk from my cell phone that evening and no one answered. When we checked in, the internet was down, which may explain why we never received the complimentary wine coupons that are normally provided.
The evening staff, including the manager and another woman working the front desk, were friendly and welcoming. The staff the following morning, however, were not nearly as friendly.
The pool also didn’t look very clean and appeared as though the filtration system wasn’t working properly.
Overall, the room itself had good space, comfortable beds, and a nice location, but the cleanliness issues—especially the filthy floors and stained sheets—really overshadowed the positives. Because of those concerns, I’m not sure I would choose to stay here again. Also disappointed about the wine.

They could do better
My requests to front desk people--made every morning,-- to get housekeeping to do a decent job, were ignored. There was a layer of dust on everything, dirt on the floor, no refills of coffee machine supplies or tissues, and I had to go to the front desk to get more toilet paper. There are cobwebs on the ceilings.
When I asked the desk person in my last evening if I could check-out at 11:30 instead of 11, since I had a meeting in The Dalles that I needed to return from to get out of the room, she said she could not say yes or no, and I had to ask the morning desk clerk.
The room was so small that there was no chair and desk to write at.
By the way, I initially sent this review directly to the motel via their email address on their website, and got no reply. Only after a while passed, I put it on here.
Breakfast was very good.
