My Fun Annual Trip to PB Surf Beachside Inn

This is my annual getaway and I always stay at PB Surf Beachside Inn. I always look forward to this trip when the weather heats up in Arizona and the drive is only is 5.5 miles away. The reasons are many why I stay here...the hotel staff is accommodating, helpful and friendly. I was nicely greeted upon arrival and my room was ready at check-in. My girlfriends joined me and they were impressed by the accommodations. They will be going back as well.
The hotel is very clean and very convenient in many ways...
it's a quarter mile from the beach and the boardwalk. You can rent a bike (lots of great bike paths), rent beach gear, shop and go to some really great restaurants and fun bars or simply walk the boardwalk and take in the ocean breeze. Everything is in walking distance when you stay at PB Surf Beachside Inn.
I strongly recommend this nice hotel with a friendly and professional staff wanting to make your vacation and stay the best ever.

Great beach access. 20 min to la Jolla. Great remodel on room at least #204. Horrible ammenties, The free breakfast is some fruit at the front, but good fruit. Great staff, let us store our bags in the office till our room opened up. Decent property, about 500 yards from the beach. Would be great if thet kept some boogie boards around to loan out. No coffee or work out room No pool.

Very clean room, bathroom was immaculate. Marina, the front desk lady, was extremely kind and helpful.

The staff is super great--- front desk, maids, and laundrymen. Free fruit is breakfast. Towels are thick and fluffy; sheets are nice. Free parking is the best but not enough spaces for every hotel room.
Downside: no face towels, no place to hang towels, telephone wire jack was cut from wall, the glass shower door pushes inward so it was unbelievably difficult to exit after showering. Bathroom is tiny. Furnishings (sofa chair, dresser, nightstand) in rooms are very shabby,

Not my favorite stay but if you need a place just to sleep, it’s okay. It’s an older building and not very well maintained. The outlet in our room was broken for the ac but they fixed it. The toilet flush had an issue and we had to open it and use the lever inside. I wouldn’t stay here again. But it did what it needed to do for the trip. Only pros are that you are walking distance from the beach and many restaurants.
