Best Hotel during our road trip
Stayed at this amazing hotel this week and we are so glad we did. We stayed in town for 2 days of our 7 day trip up the coast. It's very new and loacted in the Hawthorne Building and has so much decor that relates to the original building. Very clean, huge efficiency apartment-like rooms. Full kitchen with brand new everything (glasses, pots, silverware, etc) with all the kitchen essentials needed. Thick towels, not the cheap thin ones at a lot of hotels. Just very unique. The building is in walking distance to everything and next to a Starbucks. Joe at the front desk was wonderful and extremely helpful. This was our favorite hotel of the trip! If you're a light sleeper, request a room on the back side. Front side faces a busy intersection and you hear everything. Motorcycles revving their engines, police, firetruck, delivery vans and car horns. And the hotel is across the street from a firehouse. None of this bothered me as we slept fine but just wanted to advise.

A Must Stay
This is a perfect place to stay! Fantastic location making it walkable to everything, surrounded by great restaurants and shops. The room was larger than usual, nicely decorated, and very clean. Bed was also very comfortable. Having a full size refrigerator, coffee station, and other kitchen amenities was an added bonus. The bathroom was impeccably clean and a nice size with enough counter space around the sink to keep personal items, which many hotels lack. The staff were very friendly and accessible even though they advertise “contactless”. I would highly recommend staying here and I look forward to going back soon.

Absolutely our go-to in Salem from now on!
This hotel was incredible. My wife and I stayed in a King room, which was essentially a studio apartment. The kitchen area had a stove and full ice-cold fridge. Everything was basically brand new as they just opened. The decor was welcoming and overall very contemporary but had a hint of old-world class, and the bed was extremely comfortable. It’s on the softer, more plush side, so just a heads up to those who prefer firm (although I prefer firm, I still slept like a baby). The AC is no louder than any other hotel AC, and actually quieter than many (in response to the person who commented on it). Double layers of shades to completely block out the light and sound outside. We couldn’t even hear the traffic much. The location is phenomenal. Parking is around the corner about a half block away, but you can unload in the front. The hotel shares the building with a small strip mall. There’s escape rooms, a Starbucks, and an Asian foot spa that does excellent full body massages for $70 that my wife and I indulged in after a lot of walking. Everything in the hotel is super clean and nice. We stayed another night at a more historic hotel, which cost more money (my wife was hoping for ghosts) and it was night and day in comfort, cleanliness, with the Courier outshining it by far. Joe behind the desk, a native to the area, was super friendly and incredibly helpful with recommendations. If we ever go back to Salem, we are 100% staying here over any other spot.

The hotel was fantastic. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Near all of the sites in Salem. The only issue we had with our stay was the bed in our room felt like it was higher at the foot of the bed than the head. We made due but that was the only issue.

Weekend visit to Salem. The Courier Hotel was great.
This was a great hotel within walking distance to everything in Salem. The hotel is very clean and modern. All of the amenities and then some. The room was spacious and the bathroom had plenty of room. Check-in was easy and done online. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had in our stay was the bed. It was comfortable but it felt like we were angled with our feet higher than our head. Could have been just our bed.
