Quiet Luxury!
From the moment you step into the JW Marriott Reston Station, the property makes a statement. The lobby is sleek and sophisticated. Think soaring ceilings, curated finishes, and an atmosphere that signals you’ve arrived somewhere genuinely special. This is a hotel that knows what it is, and it wears it well.
This is easily one of the finest hotels in Northern Virginia. The rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed, and thoughtfully designed with the kind of quiet luxury that doesn’t need to shout. Everything from the bedding to the bath products reflects the premium positioning of the brand. Molton Brown, I ❤️ You. Staying here feels like a proper retreat.
The Staff:
Mostly a Highlight. Two standouts deserve specific mention: the lounge attendants and the bellhop staff. The lounge team was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They made the executive lounge feel like a personal welcome rather than a transactional amenity. The bellhop was equally polished and courteous, handling arrivals with ease and a gracious demeanor.
Check-In:
Professional, but not memorable
My only meaningful critique lies with the front desk check-in experience. The staff were entirely professional — efficient, accurate, no complaints there. But at a JW Marriott, professionalism is table stakes. What I didn’t feel was that extra degree of genuine warmth or the sense that the team was going above and beyond to make a guest feel truly welcomed. It was competent, not memorable. At this price point and brand tier, the check-in should feel like the beginning of something special, not just a transaction completed correctly.
Bottom Line:
JW Reston Station is a genuinely luxurious property that delivers on nearly every front. A small lift in front desk hospitality culture would make this a flawless stay. If you’re a Bonvoy Titanium member or traveling on points, this is absolutely worth it — the hard product is excellent and the lounge and bell staff elevate the experience considerably.

It was a nice hotel. I got a corner room but there wasn’t much to see. There was no microwave in sight.

Front Desk Matters, Go Leslie
Front desk experience is so important! Props to Leslie!! She greeted us in a way that was warm, informative and welcoming. Leslie set the tone for a great weekend. Hotel is new, positive.

Luxury and style
