I would definitely stay here again. The room was very clean and the staff was very accommodating and pleasant.

Courtyard in Waverly Charlotte, NC is the nice place clean and customer service is excellent. I planning a returning trip!

Extremely Unacceptable & Disturbing Stay – Health & Safety Issues
I stayed at this Courtyard by Marriott from Friday, November 21, 2025 to Tuesday, November 25, 2025, and this was one of the most disturbing hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
As a Titanium Member, I expected basic cleanliness and professionalism. Instead, I was met with conditions that were unsanitary and alarming. Upon arrival, we were informed no suite was available. When entering our first room, we discovered visible bugs on the walls and ceiling, yellow-stained bedding, and what appeared to be blood stains on the wall (all documented in photos).
We were moved to another room on the same floor, but the second room was no better. It contained:
Stains on the bathroom wall near the toilet
Rust inside the refrigerator
Poorly made beds that looked rushed and unclean
Peeling wallpaper
Overall neglect and lack of proper sanitation
When I raised these concerns, the manager became defensive, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of addressing the situation calmly, she made excuses and spoke in an angry tone, ultimately stating that I was no longer welcome — completely inappropriate behavior from a manager responding to legitimate health concerns.
These conditions are unacceptable for any hotel, especially a Marriott property. This experience was unsanitary, unsettling, and far below brand standards. I would not recommend this location to anyone and will not return.
As someone who is very active on social media and regularly shares my travel experiences, I believe in transparency. I will be sharing my honest experience, along with photos, to help ensure future guests are aware of the conditions I encountered.

We take guest feedback seriously and want to clarify the sequence of events, as the review does not reflect the documented findings or interactions during your stay. Upon arrival, it was necessary for our team to correct the rate on your reservation because the rate that had been selected was not one you were eligible to use. You also requested a complimentary executive-level upgrade for all five nights; however, we did not have availability to fulfill that request. Your concerns began immediately after these corrections were made. When you later reported an issue with your first room, our team responded promptly and relocated you. The second room had been inspected by management just prior to your arrival. The small area of discoloration on the bathroom wallpaper is the result of cleaning products, and this section is already scheduled for renovation. It is also important to note that although you expressed significant dissatisfaction, you chose to remain for the full five-night stay 11/21-11/26 and then attempted to extend your visit by making a second consecutive reservation. Your request at checkout for your entire stay to be complimentary could not be honored, as our findings did not support the conditions described in your review. Throughout your stay, our staff responded to every concern, documented each inspection, and acted professionally at all times. We stand by the cleanliness of the rooms provided and the conduct of our team.

The property was great. Just know that housekeeping only comes every other day, unless you ask. Breakfast wasn’t included, so it made it a little more expensive but they did make a great Starbucks latte. We had a very comfortable stay. It was great.
