Not a positive stay experience
Overall, this was not a good hotel experience. When we arrived at the
Hampton Inn & Suites Ogden on 7/20/2026
(with check out 07/21/2026) we were told the hotel was overbooked so our king bed room was switched to a double beds room. Not ideal. The check in employee was rude and very curt with my questions and concerns about how this happened. Then, she explained that we had to park 2 blocks away in very desolate and somewhat scary parking garage. The walk back to the hotel in the dark was on almost rock the whole way in an alley - very unsafe and not ADA compliant in any way. Our room never cooled down. The shower dripped all night onto the faucet which then splashed onto the bathroom floor. We had to put towels three different times from stopping the "noise" and water on the floor. The wallpaper was coming off in one place. We were very disappointed in this visit, as have had other much better experiences at other Hampton Inns. But, we are skeptical now.

Stay wasn’t great
Landed here to be close to a sporting event.
Stayed in Park City for 3 days and the hotel experience was beautiful.
Honestly should have stayed in Park City hotel and traveled the one hour to the sporting event instead of going to this hotel in Ogden.
Parking is awful. I had to request towels and supplies several times. They don’t keep the supplies in the room. Unfortunately I won’t be back at this hotel.

It’s About The Noise - The Unending Noise!
This is a lovely historic hotel in a great location. The rooms are comfortable and compare favorably to those most other Hamptons. The staff at the desk is wonderful. Some of the most kind people you’ll ever meet.
But I’d never stay here again. I write this review at 1:24am without having had a moment of peace or a wink of sleep. It is hard to describe just how loud the traffic noise is at this location. The other reviews mentioning this issue are not exaggerations in the least. I was foolish to not believe them. A stop in Ogden is great. It is a beautiful and friendly town. But while you’re here, if a good night’s rest is important to you, find another place to stay.

A Faded Grand Dame of a Hotel
This Hampton Inn is nested in an iconic historical building in downtown Ogden. TA does not allow links, so just Google “Hampton Inn Ogden Ut” and you’ll run into Ogden’s site for visitors describing historical buildings in Ogden, it’s very interesting. As it is now, it’s tired… Our room was very small (but the price was the highest I have ever paid in a Hampton Inn), mini fridge yes, miniature old fashioned bath tube, windows looking at an interior opening between the two parts of the hotel. This last part was good for sleeping, absolutely no noise. Reception was lukewarm and sheets sparkling clean. The one thing I found most inconvenient was parking: you have to check in, unload, take your stuff to your room, then go back down, drive around the block to find the parking, try to identify the one you need to get in (reception gave us a map but did not tell us that there were 3 entrances of which we were to take the third one), then walk back to your hotel, which might not be ok for tired people with a walking problem. I had to mention this, so you that you know. The great thing about the hotel was that it’s one block away from The Union Grill which we loved (separate review). Also, it’s convenient for a walk in downtown Ogden, where most of the historical buildings are located.
However, if I am ever in Ogden again, I am sure I’ll pick a different hotel.
