We just stayed here for one night on the way back to Dallas. It was fine for one night. Good value. Hotel is older and it seems they are trying to make it look newer. Safe, quiet and clean place.

No pool, dirty room, uncaring staff

We booked this hotel because we could get a room with 2 beds and a sofa bed, as well as a pool to swim in after 8 hours in the car. When we arrived, we were told that the pool was not open and there was nothing they could do other than cancel our reservation. As we had already driven all day and there was no other rooms available in town that would fit our family, we had no other choice but to stay and have disappointed kids. The front desk clerk was not apologetic or understanding for our situation. As we later found out the pool has been closed by the department of health for a month for a damaged drain, and the sister hotel at the same property also had their pool closed. We were not offered a discounted rate for not having an amenity we were promised when booking.
Our room was also quite disappointing. The toilet was not filling properly, the bathroom vent was hanging crooked on the wall, there was pet hair and stains all over the couch, the bedding was torn, blankets had blood stains, paint was peeling off of the bathroom door, security latch was not secured to the door, and there were spills that were dripping down the walls. The front door of the ice machine by the lobby fell off and I could see black mold inside. The hot food at the breakfast buffet was decent but definitely not held at a hot enough temperature for food safety regulations.
Management and ownership does not care about maintaining their facilities or about pleasing their customers. If we chose to stay out of necessity, it was their opinion that we were OK with the price and amenities and there was nothing they cared to do to improve our stay.

The property was not clean. The bed and bed frame had children’s stickers in them making me believe beds weren’t changed. Things are stained and rundown. It worked for what we needed and staff was incredibly helpful (which is worth its weight in gold often).

If you purchase drinks and snacks they double charge you at the purchase of snacks and also bill to your room! City inspector shut the pool down. AC did not work. Spiders crawling all over the Lobby. Staff would not help with billing issue. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Other than check in we barely saw a staff member. The room was dirty, the ice bucket unusable because of mold on the inside. There was an old dirty shirt outside of our door when we got there, multiple piles of dirt and trash in the hallways including a cigarette butt by the ice machine. The pool was not usable which we would have understood if we were given a heads up about it but we had planned on using the pool and were very disappointed.
We specifically got the room that sleeps 6 people because we had our kids with us and needed the space and beds. Turns out the sofa bed was broken, the sheets had stains all over them, there was trash inside of it and what looked like dead bugs. We didn't find all of this out until late at night when we were getting ready for bed and already had some kids asleep so we couldn't switch rooms so we had to cram onto the other beds. I am beyond angry and will not recommend this hotel to anyone. If they have housekeeping they need to be fired because they obviously did not do their job.
