Amazing stay at The Homestead
The Homestead Bed and Breakfast is like your home away from home except even better! You can expect warm and personal attention at every point of your stay.
The atmosphere is homey yet modern and clean with many eclectic furnishings that add to the charm of this inn.
The rooms are large, very comfortable and fully equipped with extras including heated toilet seats and phonograph players. The town of Madison and surrounding areas offer a lot to do and see. If you’re looking for an amazing getaway, you won’t be disappointed in Thr Homestead.

A Gem on the Connecticut Coast!
A truly delightful experience! Found you the morning of our journey through Connecticut and so grateful you had space for us. Rachel, Eva, Ray and Ralph were so thoughtful and attentive. We enjoyed learning about the Inn and the devotion that still drives its oversight. Record player and albums was such a treat. You must stay here on your travels!!

Absolutely great B&B!
We had an outstanding 3-night stay at The Homestead. The inn is immaculate and very beautiful with interesting decor. Our room was great — very comfortable, spacious, quiet and impeccably clean. The service is especially fantastic. Everyone on the staff is friendly, energetic and helpful. They make you feel totally comfortable and welcome. The grounds are pretty with several spots to sit outside with drinks before dinner and coffee in the morning (cappuccino was always on offer and that’s a rarity at smallish inns - thanks, Britt!). The location is also very convenient — close to many nice restaurants, beaches and pleasant towns. The inn’s free beach pass to the nice local town beach was a great amenity, as were the beach chairs and towels. Overall, we had a great stay and we’ll absolutely be back when we’re in the Madison, CT area. This is truly an outstanding B&B.

Absolutely the best B&B we have ever stayed at!
This was without a doubt the best B&B! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome, comfortable, and completely at home. When I say we, it includes 8 adults, 5 children under age 8, and a dog! Every detail was thoughtfully done and you could tell how much care and attention the owner and staff( we loved Ray) put into making us feel special. The accommodations were beautiful, exceptionally clean and full of charm. If you want a New England visit memorable, look no further. We cannot recommend this B&B highly enough!

Everything was excellent
We spent four wonderful nights at The Homestead. Everything was excellent, from the start to the end. The property is truly welcoming given its location, surroundings, decor, amenities, breakfast, snacks, evening popcorn and Port wine, spacious rooms, and so on. Everyone in the staff are wonderful hosts, extremely accommodating and dedicated to the guests. The day prior to arrival, a phone call inquired about our plans, preferred music to place some records in the room, etc., leading to a unique welcoming touch (in addition to special treat for a birthday on arrival day). Our needs throughout the stay were fully addressed, including assistance for an unexpected health issue. The ambiance enables opportunities to interact with other guests, learn about the history of the Inn, browse through many unique gadgets, games and books in the public rooms, chat with the owner around the living room fireplace. The summer stay was helped by the beach chairs, towels and parking pass provided by the Inn. It is definitely an outstanding establishment, highly recommended, and a clear return destination.
