Had a very nice stay with a friend at the Hilton Garden Inn Ithaca. Location was perfect, right near all the shops and restaurants. Room was a nice size and quite comfortable. Front desk staff were lovely and accommodating, especially Dwayne! I would definitely stay here again!

Our stay was simple and clean. We enjoyed using the pool and hot tub one night. But, we found the service for a fee/buffet-style breakfast mash-up confusing and not ideal. We got there in the morning and a lovely young woman was running around overwhelmed to get folks a coffee and a plate to go help themselves at the buffet all for a fee of around $15. I understand the cost of keeping an inclusive breakfast buffet is a challenge for a hotel, but perhaps it is worth the comfort of guests and staff. It would certainly be a better look.

Convenient location, clean, helpful staff. Two issues: 1) parking was a couple blocks away from the property, 2) the bed linens were old and needed to be replaced. The top hem of the flat sheet was worn to the point that it split at the fold. I expect better from Hilton.

This place needs help
Parking is blocks away down dangerous alleys. You have to take an elevator to your car park on the 6th and 7th floor The 1st floor where you get the elevator elevator is the meeting place of the homeless population. All through the parking garage, elevators and the alleys you have to walk through feces, urine and vomit and very ominous looking people.
My wife and I never really felt safe walking around the hotel and that particular neighborhood. There's evidence throughout the hotel that there have been problems with the local population in the building.
Dwayne at the front desk was as helpful as he could be but the Hotel was short-staffed and appeared to be struggling.

Friendly employees, less than ideal parking for families with disabilities. Call ahead for options.
The employees were friendly. My negatives are only later than average check in time and the parking situation isn't ideal, which might be a problem for people with disabilities. Unfortunately, the parking ramp that is next to the hotel was just condemned. The next closest ramp is a few streets over. If you do have a family member with a disability, be sure to ask what options they might have to assist getting to their hotel from the other ramp prior to booking.
