Awesome spot to rest and recharge. Easy to get in and out of. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great for solo travelers on a budget.

It's a clean room to rest your head. Staff is nice. No complaints here. Check out Remas nearby for some amazing food.

its hard for me to complain too much because at the end of the day the room was $77. That being said, there is a level or cleanliness i expect from any rentable room. the place is very dirty. the floors walking in were an immediate telling of how the rest of the place looks. there were 2 bathrooms near our room. 1, someone had taken a shower in so everything was wet and there was hair everywhere. 2, there was hair shavings around the sink. dried sticky pee all over the toilet seat. there was nothing to clean with either. there is a paper on the door for employees to sign off when they are cleaning it, the paper was from MAY. it is August. no wipes or spray that I could find or I would have done it myself. I put a small cardboard container of leftovers in the fridge before bed. the fridge clearly hadn't been cleaned in weeks, fyi. went to grab my food in the am and someone else's food leaked grease all over mine and the bottom of the fridge so obviously my food was ruined. the room was fairly clean. the sheets were clean. under the bed was disgusting. a.c. was great though. what it seems to me is the employees are just lazy. I originally called before checkin asking if I could switch to a non-bunk room and the man said i could do that but he had no idea what the price difference would be and couldn't tell me over the phone, odd. the woman I checked in with was in her pajamas on her phone lounging while the place needed cleaning in multiple areas.

Good location close to downtown. Mattress was comfortable. Place overall is very rundown and bathrooms in particular were not clean. We arrived after check in deadline but called ahead and someone met us which was great. We didn't see any other staff after check in.

The hostel is situated in a residential area. Parking is available on a residential street.
The check-in process with Travis was easy. Minor issue when showing me to my private room as someone else had the same first name and accidentally showed me to that room first. But was quickly corrected.
The room itself was functional. The bed was firm. The shared bathrooms was clean, but showing its age with various broken tiles.
I was only staying one night in Detroit and this is definitely an option I would choose again. As I was there so briefly I didn't use any of other amenities, so can't comment on those.
