I highly recommend this as a place to stay in Deadwood. Clean, well maintained, wonderful bed and linens. Great bathroom. Food was good. Conversation was wonderful. Staff was very helpful. It is a spot to get away to quietness in a busy town. I highly recommend you stay in this B and B.

Deadwood but not in the mainstream

This place is located up a quiet street in a nearby neighborhood of Deadwood. Although I did not feel abundantly safe when I walked down the street. There is parking behind the establishment.
The Library room is on the main floor close to the kitchen. I found the room a little tight fitting. It was an old style looking B&B with antiques throughout the home. This room has two sink basins which is nice and the bathtub has anti-slip pads so you would not want to use it as a bath.
The hostess was very gentle and kind. Breakfast was good. We don’t eat pig so a lovely oatmeal with fruit was provided.

The 1899 Inn is in a lovely historic house conveniently located just a couple blocks out of the town center. It has parking off the street and offers a nice (tho not super copious) breakfast to guests. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. They are also very knowledgeable, happy to share the area’s history.

The owners of the Bed and Breakfast were friendly and helpful. The historic house is well maintained.

We came to Deadwood for an experience, and this Inn fit the bill in terms of history with an added bonus of location. The Old Library was wonderfully inviting and the breakfast delicious.
