They went above and beyond for us. They say in a letter it’s an older property to give better rates. But the whole thing is lovely. It was very well maintained and exceptionally clean.

Good solution for Cody

Room a bit small and dated compared to other motels visited, but equipped with a smart toilet, that is, the toilet with the integrated bidet. Fantastic! Unfortunately the only one in three weeks of travel. You park the car in front of the room, which is very convenient for loading and unloading luggage. It becomes a problem when the guests in the room who are leaving at dawn are the ones loading/unloading the car. But this is not the fault of the property.

Thank you kindly for such a thoughtful review! We're glad you discovered one of our favorite modern touches—the bidet toilets! It sounds like your three-week journey gave you quite a few motel experiences, so we're especially pleased that our smart toilet stood out as something memorable.
Our classic motel may have a bit of that old-school Cody character, but we've worked hard to add modern comforts where they matter. Being able to park right outside your room is especially handy for loading and unloading luggage, and we appreciate your understanding about the occasional early-morning departure.
We hope you also had a chance to enjoy our convenient downtown location, guest laundry, gas grills, and motorcycle washing station. Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope the trail brings you back to A Western Rose Motel someday. Happy travels!

Ma and Pa owned motel that truly takes care of its guests...rooms were big, too!

We found the Western Rose to be just like its name....a beautiful wild Wyoming rose in full bloom. We were on a bicycle tour and our ride finished early the first day of our stay so we wanted to check in early if at all possible. I spoke with Kelsey on the phone and she said she would make sure that could happen. She and her cleaning staff went out of their way to make that happen. The service continued that way for both of our 2 day stay. Our king bed room was very spacious....which made it possible for us to put our bicycles in the room and not be in the way. This motel and its owner and staff were friendly and service minded like I've not seen in a while. Thumbs up Western Rose!!

We're mighty pleased Kelsey and our housekeeping gals could get you settled in early after a long ride. Around these parts, we believe when travelers roll into town—whether they're riding horseback, a bicycle, or a pickup—they deserve a warm welcome and a soft place to land.
We're glad that roomy king bed gave both you and your trusty steeds plenty of space, and we're honored you noticed the friendly spirit we try to share with every guest who pulls into our little corner of Cody.

The room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a good place to stop for the night before heading into Yellowstone.

Water pressure told to dirt to “Go-on, GIT”

This little hotel was just what my daughter and I needed on our trek across Wyoming. It wasn’t the fanciest of places and it was dated, but refurbished with care. I definitely felt comfortable and safe. My parking was right outside my hotel room. There were washing machines in a marked area as well as an ice machine and microwave. The room had a fridge with a freezer which was the best since we needed to freeze our ice packs. The water pressure was amazing! And the air conditioning was very effective in a heat wave. I really enjoyed this hotel.

Well now, that's mighty kind of you to say! We're sure glad A Western Rose Motel was the perfect place for you and your daughter to hitch your wagon after a long day's journey across Wyoming. We may not be the fanciest stop on the trail, but we take a whole lot of pride in keeping our rooms clean, comfortable, and ready for weary travelers.
We're tickled to hear the cold A/C kept the heat at bay, the freezer did its job for those ice packs, and that shower had enough kick to wash the trail dust away! It's also great to know our easy parking and guest amenities made your stay a little more convenient.
