The stay was vey good. Breakfast was great. Staff wasn't very friendly but overall, it was a good experience.

Certain aspects of the property require an updated.
1.) All of the glass elevators windows physically were in poor conditions with multiple scratches and scrapples on the glass.
2.) The ventilation fan in bathroom is in poor condition (sounded like it was going to fall apart). Room 605
3.) Room did not have a safe. Which meant we had to carry those personal items that we would normally place a safe with us while exploring Birmingham.
All of the staff that we engaged with where pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Clean room, friendly staff and goid breakfast with complimentary drinks at the bar. The Ruth Chris resturant inside made dinner options more convenient.

I had to request and wait a good bit of time for sheets for the pull out sofa bed which I have never had to do at any other Embassy Suites. The chlorine smell in the pool area was so strong that we couldn't use the pool. I stepped in vomit when I went to get ice. The smell on my floor was noxious. Our toilet was clogged and there wasn't a plunger provided.
The managers special food was not refreshed so if you didn't get there right at 6p you were left with a few chips to choose from.
However, the bartender was very friendly, patient and did an amazing job! He was the highlight of our stay.

Overall had a wonderful stay. 2 days they did not clean our room. When we told them of this they sent a lady my the name of Karen. She was very, very nice and took care of the problem quickly and professionally!
