Hotel / timeshare nightmare
Where to begin, this was a trade of points from Hyatt Vacation Club into Interval for a vacation exchange. We booked a one bedroom with ADA amenities do to me being a full time wheelchair user. Upon our arrival we realized that we were in a very undesirable area with numerous vacant buildings and vagrants wondering the streets. At check in on the fourth of July I was advised my ADA room along with other ADA rooms were sold out and that I could not be accommodated until some time later in the week. As I continue with check in I could hear other customers checking in and being told that their accommodations were in a refurbished room and others being told they were in a non refurbished room. As I completed check in I was told mine was a non refurbished room. We then proceeded into the parking garage and located a disabled parking space and unloaded our luggage. As I maneuvered my wheelchair onto a poorly lighted ramp a nearly feel over a curb that was not properly marked
Now the real ordeal began. We were met in the elevator lobby area with approximately twenty people waiting for elevators . They were all angry and frustrated with the elevator system and had been waiting for over twenty minutes to board. I must say I have never seen an elevator system like this in my entire life. It is a ridiculous system as to when you enter your floor number it assigns you a car. Totally ridiculous and slow. After our twenty minute wait we rode the car to our floor and went to our room. The room was spacious having a small kitchen with a table . A small living room with a couch and desk and a bedroom with a queen bed and bathroom. We immediately noticed the noise coming from the air conditioner that was running full force to keep the room cool. The noise was a loud hum. Inspecting the couch which was a pull out bed also it appeared dirty and greasy. The walls were had holes in them from previous pictures hanging and were faded and dirty. All the furniture throughout was worn and banged up . The bathroom had more caulk to the fixtures then home depot could stock. The toilet was leaking internally and constantly ran, so we had the sound as if it was flushing constantly. When we turned the shower on a massive leak came out of the wall were the shower control was mounted and black, dirty, rusty water poured into the tub. I then noticed that the clothes iron was missing . We tried to turn on a few lamps and found only one working and the others were either broke or missing light bulbs. So I made a call to the front desk informing them of the missing iron so we would not be charged and that we required one. I also informed them of all the room issues which were basically ignored. I then requested a shower transfer bench for my disability and extra pillows so that my wife could help position me in bed so that I can sleep. I was told that a supervisor would need to approve those requests and was transferred to one . After I repeated my needs and described why I needed them she approved and they were brought to the room sometime later. The room issues were never addressed. My wife and I were excited to go out and see Atlantic City and enjoy the fourth of July festivities and made the best of the situation. That night we did sleep ok and the bed was comfortable. But the noise of the air conditioning and the toilet running filled the room during the night. The next day we went about our day but had to drive basically through the ghetto to get where we needed to go. After the second night we woke up and decided we had enough of the poor conditions f the room, the hotel and immediate area around it. We bagged our luggage and checked out early. At the desk they still did not address any of our issues and could care less that we were leaving. We left with five nights remaining on our reservation therefore losing most of the points we traded for this so called resort along with all the transfer fees. This meant we also had to incur cost to find better accommodations .
This place is a ghetto hotel and should not be on the Interval platform for vacations. This place should be not used until improvements and repairs are made. My advice would be to stay far far away from there. Interval should be ashamed to represent this location.

Could be soooo much better
I stayed here because I received promotional price to attend a timeshare presentation. Other than that I would never book here. I spoke to many ppl who owned timeshares and they all had good things to say. But I don't understand why? I also looked at several YouTube videos before my trip and none of those really said anything negative other than staying the resort was run down. But let me the actual floors where the guest rooms are located are DIRTY. I mean the carpets , walls, windows, etc ... I got out and walked around several floors and all of the carpets in the common areas are dirty, stained and have holes in them.
The first room they put me in had either not been cleaned at all or whas not cleaned properly. Also it was the wrong type of room so I requested to be moved. There was something disgusting dripping from the ceiling. The lampshade had spots on them that could easily be cleaned. The carpets were dirty, smelly had cigarette or cigar burns. The balcony was dirty. The sign on the door was ripped and hanging off. The beds looked like someone had been jumping on them. I was not going to sleep on those beds.
I actually asked to be moved to a room that I saw reviewed on YouTube. The first woman at the front desk lied on the phone and told me that room already had someone in it (I asked her twice). But when I went downstairs and spoke to the only gentleman working, he immediately told me the room was a available. This new room at least was clean, but later I took pics of the TV stand and there was an insane amount of dust. In the new room the tub also had not been cleaned. I had to clean it myself and the tub had a slow drain.
Half of the staff also seemed like they didn't want to be there, except for the 1 lady and gentlemen who helped me check in and relocate. I was not greeted when I arrived and they all had their heads down like they didn't want me to come to their station. Security was rude when I asked about the elevators and how long it was taking. However, check out was fast and pleasant.
I also didn't care for the pool and hot tub areas. It's a shame because the resort has GREAT views of the beach and it is right on the boardwalk. But this place is DIRTY. There really is no other way to put it. Carpets are old stained have holes in them. The walls are dirty. There needs to be a major interior restoration and the balconies need tending to. If they would just do these things this could be a five-star resort. It's not on par with Caesars or Hard Rock of course but it's a great resort if they would clean it and train staff and security to be more welcoming and friendly.

Don't believe the hype!
These pictures come from a room I was placed in to go to a promotional sales meeting of them trying to sell me something else. I don't think I would've placed someone. I was trying to sell something too in this kind of atmosphere or I wouldn't place anyone in this atmosphere. The lock is broken. Dirty walls cracked walls. The carpet is atrocious. The bed lining look like they dragged it out of a cat litter bin the refrigerator look like it came from downstairs in the basement, but they trying to sell you something and they put you in a room that looks like this interesting

Multiple broken things in the room. Dirty. It smelled. We had to clean the room ourselves or be charged. 30 minute or more wait for the elevator. Beds are like sleeping on boards. One bed was broken. The other had bugs. The bed pillows were couch pillows, very uncomfortable. Toilet handle broken, bathtub wouldnt drain. AC did not work. Vice president wanted to refund me. Hotels refused my refund.

Misleading Photos, Poor Maintenance, and Disappointing Stay
My experience at Boardwalk Resorts was very disappointing and did not meet the expectations set by the property’s website.
The room I received looked nothing like the one advertised online. The photos showed newer, updated accommodations, but the actual unit was outdated, worn, and clearly in need of renovations. I specifically requested a room with two beds, but was given a room with only one bed, which caused an unnecessary inconvenience. The balcony also had no outdoor furniture, despite being advertised as an amenity, so it could not be enjoyed.
The overall cleanliness of the room was below expectations. It did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned before check-in, and the condition of the unit made it difficult to feel comfortable. There were also safety concerns due to the poor condition of parts of the room, which should be addressed to ensure guests have a safe stay.
Another major issue was the elevator. During my stay, it was unreliable, resulting in long wait times and creating frustration for guests. This was especially concerning from both a convenience and safety standpoint.
For the price paid, I expected accommodations that matched the advertised photos, a clean and well-maintained room, and basic amenities as promised. I encourage management to improve housekeeping, address maintenance and safety issues, ensure elevators are functioning properly, and provide more accurate photos of the rooms guests are actually booking. Transparency and better upkeep would go a long way toward improving the guest experience.
