Wonderful stay
We returned to this magnificent place. It is still just as magical. This parador evolves every year and becomes even more beautiful. First of all, the rooms and the common areas have been renovated. It is very successful, especially the ground floor lounges which are very beautiful and adapt well to the beautiful architecture of the building that lets in the light and puts us in contact with nature at every moment. As for the rooms, I really liked the photos that were above the beds, but the new decor is successful. The bedding is excellent and we feel as if we are suspended with the view of the sea enhanced by beautiful sheer curtains at the large windows. Everything is absolutely impeccable. The rooms are sparkling clean! Moreover, the housekeepers are charming and asked us when we passed them in the hallways if everything was going well and if we needed anything. We also really liked the welcome from the young receptionist upon our arrival. We could feel his passion for his job and his wish for our stay to be a success. The team was always there for us. The Manager is also very present and engaged with the guests and his teams. He is a great professional who takes the time to talk with everyone.
The feeling of floating from the beach to the magnificent forest continues with a good breakfast facing nature if you want to have it on the terrace, the superb pool (30 degrees) very well maintained by a lifeguard who is discreet but very friendly. Do not hesitate to ask him for a beach umbrella and a small chair if you want to go to the beach. There is a beverage service (reasonable prices for the service and the hotel category) which is provided by two very elegant young people. The young woman made the effort to speak to us in French. And then you arrive at the beach, where there are a maximum of 10 people..!! in this region of Spain with sometimes too intense tourism, at the Parador de El Saler, one of the great luxuries is this feeling of space facing nature. No need to go put your towel down in the morning to be sure of having a spot at the pool, the hotel only has about sixty rooms.. everyone has plenty of space and quiet ...The ecological commitment remains. it is real and sincere. It is a significant investment in time and financial resources. What a joy! The birds let you approach them closely. You have a drink while seeing wild partridges a few meters away, herons, moorhens, rabbits....the land or sea turtles are pampered. It is not a stay in a hotel like the others, it is truly an experience that one lives at the Parador de El Saler. I found the account of the Valencia floods very moving.
My only small suggestion would be to put candles on the restaurant terrace to make it more intimate, but the interior dining room is magnificent, whether it be the furniture or the very soft lighting.
In short, another unforgettable and precious moment with the desire to return.

It is not a five-star hotel
It is lacking a lot to be a 5-star hotel. The double bed is 150cm even though the room is large. The chill-out area on the terrace was dirty; I had to clean the dust off the seat myself. They do not provide service in that area even though the cafeteria was empty; we had to carry our own drinks. We returned to that area at night, and the dirty glasses from the afternoon were still there. The service is very friendly, however. The pool area is old and muddy. The beach bar closes at noon. I came for the eclipse; I don't know if I would return and pay the outrageous amount they ask for the service they offer.

PLEASANT REST EXCEPT AT BREAKFAST
Everything great, very friendly people EXCEPT the people who serve at breakfast, especially the housekeepers. Nobody wants to hear a scolding or be treated poorly first thing in the morning.

Brief and intense getaway
As in previous stays, almost entirely excellent. Superior room perfect in every aspect: cleanliness, spaciousness, bed comfort, details, climate control, terrace... Excellent staff at the front desk. Magnificent restaurant: everything very good, but the fideuá and the pistachio ice cream were superior (a great choice). Large pool with enough lounge chairs. Dinner at the cafeteria was very good: the ham was excellent and the sobrasada, cheese, and caramelized onion sandwich was also excellent. And regarding the breakfasts, variety and quality, without a doubt, but as in previous occasions I am left with the feeling that there is a lack of coordination among the team that manages it: everyone is very kind, but slow in service and, as I have already said, uncoordinated. There was even a moment when all four disappeared into the kitchen and I thought they would not come out again. I think there is enough staff to serve at breakfast, but at times it seems that everyone is doing their own thing.

Horrible communication frustration on a fantastic golf course
I chose Parador El Saler specifically, because I was clearly assured that my spa booking included access to the outdoor pool. I even made a point of confirming this twice, one day in
advance upon a booking AT THE RECEPTION and then the same day again . However, after paying for the spa, I was suddenly denied access to the pool on the grounds that I was not a hotel guest. This is simply not acceptable. If access is limited to hotel guests, that must be clearly and consistently communicated before taking a reservation and payment.
What disappointed me most was not just the refusal, but the complete lack of coherent communication. A Parador property should have clear internal procedures and ensure that all staff provide accurate information. I left feeling misled and very disappointed. I asked for my money back which was given but needless to say that my day of holiday was completly ruined. This experience fell well below the standard I expected. I sincerely hope management takes this seriously and improves its communication and booking procedures to prevent future guests from experiencing the same frustration.

After playing golf for several days, you went to the spa to ask if you could use the pool. You were informed that you would have to pay for access to the spa facilities. You agreed and booked a treatment. Access to the outdoor pool was not mentioned.
When you returned the next day and asked again, you were told the same thing before entering the spa. At that point, you made a comment to our receptionist, who had assisted you the previous day, about the color of her skin, which was highly unfortunate and unacceptable.
We then explained that you could not have the ten-minute access to the outdoor pool that you had requested, as it was reserved exclusively for hotel guests, and we apologized if we had not made this clear.
You insisted, and after that, you said you were leaving, so we proceeded to refund your money. You insisted that you were going to post many negative reviews and that we would lose more by doing so than by letting you in for ten minutes.
I am very sorry that your experience was not a positive one, but we could not grant you those ten minutes, as we tried to explain to you.
