The staff at this hotel were excellent and Alejandra and Paula went above and beyond when we had a problem accessing the rooftop during the eclipse.. in general, they were friendly, polite, and very helpful our entire trip. We had a junior suite, the hroom was excellent extremely spacious with every amenity that you could think of. Coffee machine, dental kits, safe refrigerator, kettle, etc. the hotel and the room are modern, and well kept. Very close to the arts and science center and several eateries downstairs and along the road.
If I were returning to Valencia and wanted to stay in this part of town, I would have no hesitation staying here again

Great, however.....
Hotel is 4 star but loses credibility due to misleading gym and pool descriptions. Both are extremely small and the gym is unusable due to the lack of AC. The pool hardly fits 6 people. Beware of the clientele also as a lot of sports teams stay here and finish items on the buffet breakfast and leave sports equipment and smelly gym clothes outside of their rooms, in communal spaces which makes the corridors stink. The hotel staff don't enforce any policy about leaving personal items in communal spaces

Great stay at Barcelo Valencia
My wife and I along with my 2 adult daughters stayed at Barcelo Valencia for 1 night prior to our cruise and again for 1 night on our return. As an Independent Travel Agent I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were fantastic, very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were great and the location was brilliant. There are always taxi's immediately outside the hotel to get you anywhere in Valencia

Terrible hotel. Does not match description on photos
Mouldy rusty shower and toilets. Typical example of shiny on the outside shiny and cheap on the inside

Good hotel in Valencia with beautiful views!!!
We spent a fantastic weekend at the Barceló Valencia and the experience was a 10.
From arrival to departure, all the staff made us feel truly welcome. The service was friendly, professional, and always with a smile, something that makes a difference.
The facilities are up to the standard of the Barceló chain: everything very clean, modern, and comfortable. The room was spacious, with extra-large beds, very comfortable mattresses, and spectacular views of the City of Arts and Sciences.
The hotel has its own parking and, furthermore, it is easy to find free parking in the white zone in the surrounding area. The location is excellent: very well connected to the center of Valencia, which can be reached easily by the number 19 bus or by taxi/Uber for a very affordable price.
In short, it is an ideal area to visit Valencia and enjoy the city in total comfort.
