Staff were nice, hotel was nice, food and drinks were a good choice.
Entertainment was also good.
The hotel wasnt busy at all which was nice as the pool area isn't big!

**Disappointing stay – expected much better
We chose this hotel after previously staying at Best Negresco and having a really enjoyable experience. This hotel was rated higher on TripAdvisor, so we decided to try it, expecting the standard to be at least as good. Unfortunately, we have been very disappointed.
The cleanliness has been one of the biggest issues. The pool area has been dirty, the communal areas and bathrooms haven’t been maintained to a standard I’d expect, and food has regularly been left in the hallways. Our room also wasn’t cleaned on the first day.
The entertainment has also been extremely limited, with only one aqua gym activity during our stay.
The situation with the entertainment on our first night was particularly frustrating. The entertainment team was actually setting up at our hotel, as they were due to perform here. We were then told the entertainment had been cancelled because the singer was unable to attend due to the weather. However, after the entertainment at Best Negresco was cancelled, the performers were moved there instead. So the entertainment we had originally been expecting at our hotel ended up taking place across the road, and if we wanted to attend, we were expected to go there and purchase drinks.
The hotel itself is generally quiet, which we liked, but unfortunately a few rowdy guests playing their own music loudly really spoiled the atmosphere. What was disappointing was that staff did not appear to challenge the behaviour or intervene.
I will say that the reception staff have been friendly, but unfortunately I’ve found some other members of staff to be quite unfriendly and unwelcoming.
What has been particularly disappointing is the response from hotel management. I raised these issues while we were actually staying at the hotel, giving management the opportunity to address them at the time. Unfortunately, rather than properly dealing with the concerns, the issues were largely dismissed. Even after following up, the response did not accurately reflect what had happened, which I found extremely frustrating.
What disappoints me most is that we genuinely expected more from this hotel. We chose it based on its reputation and higher TripAdvisor rating, particularly having had such a good experience at Best Negresco previously.
I’m not saying everything about the hotel is bad, but overall it simply hasn’t lived up to the standard we expected, and there are too many basic issues for us to overlook.
I would strongly recommend that management look seriously at the cleanliness, housekeeping, entertainment and, most importantly, how genuine guest concerns are dealt with. The way a hotel responds when something goes wrong is just as important as the initial problem.

Good hotel
All staff are very friendly and helpful when needed.
There is no rush for sunbed at all at this hotel. Nobody was up early reserving beds, maybe perhaps because the majority of the pool area doesn't get the sun until around lunch time. We always went to the pool after breakfast around 10am and could get 4 beds with parasols no problem at all.
Food was typical all inclusive, the themed nights were the best and tastiest. Always plenty to choose from during each sitting.
The location of the hotel is in a quiet area with little beach coves nearby. It's perfect to catch the bus to popular destinations nearby.
There was a couple of issues which for me took this rating from excellent to good. Firstly the room towels were not changed daily. They were left in the bath as used and the maid had simply refolded them and not replaced them. I could tell because they were damp and one one occasion my daughter had lightly marked the towel with makeup and the same night the towel was folded back up to be reused and not replaced.
Secondly we had ants in our room. Actually on the pillows and crawling up the headboard. Also on the tea/coffee making facilities. We noticed them at night time just before going to bed. I informed reception and they came and replace the pillow cases and sprayed some ant spray outside the room along the patio doors. Obviously the heat was bringing them out and I can accept them outside the room but not inside on the bed. The spray did help but the children were very anxious about getting into bed each night.
