Hotel Gil

Amazing place with a terrace to eat on the extraordinary charcoal.
A clean and very clean place.
A shale treatment for all the service especially the owners Rocio and José, make you feel at home.
The food is very good and everything grilled.
We'll be back.

To avoid

Lunch at the Asador GIL" more than cold welcome when I indicate being surprised that there is no menu of the day while it is indicated outside...
Everything is extra charge... water, bread, tomato sauce, aioli, fries to accompany the meat.
Luckily, the chair for sitting was free...

Gil steakhouse

We went to eat at the Gil Hotel Steakhouse on Sunday, April 13.
We ordered 3 plates of grilled rabbit and one of lamb chops, plus a salad.
The rabbit seemed to be made in brine and tasted strange. (We would like to know where you came from.)
We found it curious that first they brought us the rabbit’s butts and later the front ones, they didn’t look like the same animal, either for color or taste.
Potatoes are paid for apart from the license, at more than 6 € a plate, frozen. Allioli and tomato oil also leave to be desired.
The food went to about 100€ 4 people.
I think they should offer more quality and better service as we left quite disappointed from the Steakhouse.
As for Montanejos a highly recommended place to spend a few days.

Still hallucinating

My opinion is about the restaurant at Hostal Gil. Nothing to object about the food, but about the prices of a menu that is misleading, even though the restaurant manager tells me that I am the wrong one.
We ordered bread with garlic oil and tomato. They charge us €6.50 for this. On the menu, the garlic oil and tomato are related to the potatoes (with paprika, with garlic oil, with tomato, bravas) nothing indicates that they are prices to pay with bread accompanied by something. I don't care about the price to pay, I care about the response of the person responsible, making us believe that we are the fools. Madam, don't put those prices in the potato specialties section. Set them aside. In Alicante city, a tourist place par excellence, you eat some TOAST bread with garlic oil and tomato for €2.50.
Nothing to say regarding the staff. Professional and friendly, but the attitude of the person in charge leaves a lot to be desired. The letter should be written so that the customer, not the owner, understands it.
Otherwise, and as far as food is concerned, very good value for money.
By the way, remember to put in the potatoes section, things related to potatoes, not other things. We asked a question because we were surprised by the price and we never expected such an out of character answer.

Terrible and bad customer service, they should consider recycling customer service

Very bad, the receptionist treated us with reluctance and a little rudeness, the restaurant was not far behind, I told the waiters that they should go to a hospitality school, the people of the town are wonderful but those who run this hotel should consider the deal with the public
