Decent 4 star resort
We’ve just returned from a fantastic week at this family-friendly hotel, and it’s an excellent choice if you’re travelling with toddlers.
We stayed in Junior Suite E104, right on the seafront, and it was absolutely worth the upgrade. We had requested a quiet room for our little ones, and it was exactly that—peaceful, spacious, and with stunning sea views. If you’re looking to escape some of the busier areas of the resort while still being close to everything, I’d highly recommend this room type.
The food was a real standout. There was an incredible variety at every meal, catering for all tastes. The salad selection was particularly impressive, and the themed evenings were excellent—the Mexican night was a personal favourite!
One thing to be aware of is that the hotel predominantly caters for German, French and Dutch guests. As a result, the kids’ club and entertainment are heavily geared towards those nationalities. I mentioned this at check-out because my four-year-old sometimes felt reluctant to attend the kids’ club, as instructions from the animation team weren’t always translated into English. The mini disco also mainly features European songs and interaction. This isn’t a criticism, just something worth knowing if you’re travelling from the UK.
The children’s pool was fantastic and was the highlight of the holiday for both our one-year-old and four-year-old. We happily spent entire days there. The splash park is great fun too, although it could do with a little refresh in places as it’s beginning to look slightly tired.
We also visited the nearby safari park, which is around a 20-minute taxi ride away. It cost €16 each way by taxi, and entry for our family of four was around £60. It made for a lovely day out, with plenty of shaded areas to escape the midday heat.
Overall, I’d rate this as a very good 4-star family resort. Having travelled extensively around the world, I’d happily recommend it to families with young children. The exceptional food, beautiful location and excellent facilities for little ones were the highlights of our stay, and we’d certainly consider returning.

Fitness review of Blau Punta Reina
The experience was incredible in an incredible complex at the center of a beautiful landscape.
The animators were really kind and enjoyable and especially Zdenka from the Zumba. Her smile was the reason to be motivated and to have fun during sport ! She is a real sunshine

Nice hotel but could do with a few tweaks
Just returned from a week long stay here. We travelled as a family of 5 (kids 10, 6 & 18 months), along with my mum, sister and her family.
The hotel itself is nice, it’s got absolutely beautiful views over the sea and we had a lovely time. My eldest 2 loved the slides and my youngest loved the smaller slides in the pirate ship. We stayed the 16th Jul for a week and always got 4 beds around the pool, as long as you were down by 8:30 there was never a problem getting them. There were always empty beds around the kids pool anytime of day too.
The only thing that lets the hotel down is the food. There’s lots of choice but I feel given the size of the hotel it could do with at least one, if not two more dining options. We mainly ate in the main buffet (I loved the sushi night), we went to the Italian a couple of times but it was the same food as the main one just on a smaller scale. We didn’t try the other restaurant as there wasn’t anything on the menu our kids would like.
Also I’ve never been to a hotel before that doesn’t turn its air con on! Aside from in reception and your room there was never any air con on. There were ceiling fans in the main buffet but if you didn’t have a table directly underneath one within 5 minutes you’d be sweating. The same with the bar near reception, unless you were lucky enough to get a table where a breeze would come through every so often it would be unbearably hot. One evening my youngest was stripped down to just her nappy and still sweating! We’ve travelled to Mexico and Jamaica in peak time and have never struggled with the heat as much as we did here.
Nonetheless we still had a nice time, the views are beautiful, lovely beach and staff are really friendly!

Incredible.
Absolutely amazing Hotel the entertainment was the best I’ve ever seen. The food is incredible and different every night. The staff are just absolutely amazing and very attentive. Well 100% rebooking for next year.

Highly recommend!
The hotel is lovely, and a great setting/views.
Animation team are brilliant, cannot fault the team. They work hard and are great entertainment. It was our boys birthday and they all sang happy birthday and got him a little present. Sweetest gesture.
The Lion King show was absolutely brilliant, well done!
Dennis the customer relations guy is really good and very helpful.
All the hotel staff are very good.
The pools are cold, but once your in, you get use to it. Always sun beds available, though it did get busier so can’t imagine this place in the height of summer!
Negative - water park is height restricted and no where did it say this. We had a very upset boy. Height for slides is 1.2 meters.
Sea views are amazing.
Food was ok, quite repetitive but there was always plenty of food and we made do with our fussy children.
Token for a drink system was a bit of a surprise but we get it, helps keep the place tidy so no plastic cups laying around everywhere.
Negative - The photography on site - very expensive and very pushy! Shame…
Rooms - one bedroom sea view apartment.
2 singles in bedroom pushed together, and sofa bed in living area. Suitable, and worked for family of four.
View was incredible to wake up to every morning!
Cleaned daily and fresh towels when required.
Beaches walking distance, best beach being Cala anglia which was a little further about 25 min walk along the coastal pathway.
Would highly recommend this hotel and would go again. (But not in the height of summer, the place can hold A LOT of people!)
