Charming accommodation highly recommended.
I stayed at this rural hotel with a friend on the weekend of October 24th-26th. It is a family hotel with 6 rooms that is located in a beautiful maragata house, with its typical cobbled courtyard and the rooms arranged is a gallery of two floors.
We had the room "Esperanza" on the ground floor, with a desk table with flat screen TV, 2 beds, heating, mirrored wardrobe, bedside table, tissue box and kettle to make tea or coffee. It was a little cold weekend, but between the heating and blankets, not a hint of cold.
The bathroom was medium in size, with bathtub, hairdryer and among the bathroom items was a bar of soap, shower cap, toothbrush with its toothpaste. Bath gel and shampoo was in vending cans in the bathtub.
Breakfast was included and consisted of milk or coffee (there was also soy drink), cocoa, natural juice (for example grapefruit and also grapefruit mixed with orange and blueberries), bread, jam, crushed tomato and butter, sponge cake (one day lemon and one day cheese) and alternatively some non-dairy almond cookies. One morning we got scrambled eggs and another jerky, which was great. In short, a great breakfast.
Dinner can also be enjoyed at the hotel, but notice must be given at least the same morning. They have a menu and also a menu for € 18 with separate drinks. We ordered both nights the menu and it was pretty good, with totally homemade food. The first day was a cream of vegetables and meatballs with fries, finishing with a granny cake and a lemon cake with meringue (no dairy). The second day was a soup of cooking followed by some eggs maragatos (with natural tomato sauce and chorizo), finishing with some figs in syrup and I repeated again the lemon tart.
They have on sale some things like Teleno honey, jam, some cups, some cloth bags with maragatas scenes and I think there was also chocolate.
I booked on the website and paid a 30% advance payment (according to booking conditions).
In short, this is a charming accommodation entirely recommended. In addition, the village in which it is located, Santa Colomba de Somoza, is the absolute tranquility.

Great and warm experience
Amazing place in Santa Colomba de Somoza. Room was very well equipped and bed was very comfortable with a great warm blanket for the cold temperature that prevailed when I was there. The local museum was open and a very good experience.
Dinner was great. Service was also great and coffee in the morning was very good.

Heaven on Earth!
The very best experience we had on the camino. Laura and her husband are the best hosts we have ever encountered. The attention to detail in the casa is second to none. This is a little way of the route but Laura lifted us in Rabanal and dropped us back the next morning. This is a real step back in time. the property is finished to the highest of standards. We had a group of 10 travelling and we were treated like lords the whole stay. the only regret is we did not get to stay longer.

A real experience in a traditional house that retains some fantastic historical features of the area. We have been here many times before, the last time 5 years ago and have loved it again this time. A warm welcome awaits and the food for both breakfast and dinner are delicious and creative

Unexpected
I was not expecting to find such a great place in such a small village, but it happened. We were here for dinner only, so I can't comment on the hotel. The house itself is beautiful, renewed with tasted and keeping the old style. We were lucky to be there on low season, so the four of us had the dinner room to ourselves. The service was impeccable, the ingredients were really fresh and the simplicity of the dishes was delicious.
