Great location, room spacious and thoughtfully furnished, generous bathroom, staff helpful, beautiful pool and outdoor area, would thoroughly recommend this hotel!

Friendly & Spotless

We stayed at Hotel Nord 1901 in room 42 for four nights. We had a wonderful time and will return if we visit Girona again. The hotel is an easy 15 minute walk from the train station.
The good feeling started when we were greeted by the two gentlemen at the reception desk. They were efficient and friendly. As an added benefit, the room was ready at 1 p.m.
The room was very nice, large with high ceilings, and extremely clean. The bathroom was also very nice with plenty of counter space. The toilet paper holder does need to be attached more firmly to the wall because it was loose as was the soap holder in the shower.
The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. The air conditioner worked well. There was a bottle of water available for us as well.
We purchased breakfast for our stay, and it was excellent. There were four different types of juices, milk, cereal, eggs, bacon, rolls and toast, patties, many different types of fruit, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. It was well stocked and clean.
The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the ancient parts of the city.

Great location, lovely small.pool area although the sun is minimal if that's what you want.

One of the best hotels we have every stayed in anywhere

Lovely staff, very comfortable and spacious room. Our room was ready on arrival before check in time which was a real bonus. Lucas on reception took time to give us a map and point out places of interest to visit because we were first time visitors to Girona. On the day we checked out we were able to leave our luggage and use the pool area because we weren't moving on until later in the day. We definitely intend to go back and stay in Hotel Nord. It is a very convenient location for exploring the old town and a great choice of places to eat nearby.

Nice hotel but personally not the best experience

This hotel was in the perfect location and decorated stylishly. The pool was one of the main reasons we booked and it was nice to visit after lots of walking and exploring Girona. Sunbeds are limited but that is to be expected with a small pool.
The breakfast environment was calm and inviting. There was a small but sufficient choice for an everyday breakfast, but no specific options for gluten free diners which was disappointing.
The hotel overall would have received more than 3 stars had we not experienced items foimg missing from all 3 of the make up bags across two bedrooms. The more disappointing thing was the way it was dealt with when I raised it on 2 occasions with reception. A half hearted verbal apology helped marginally but the fact that the housekeeping team were defended as they have been in place for many years undermined what had happened and the fact we still had missing items which I had to pay to replace. I will contact management to see how they wish to resolve this as there was absolutely no mention of anything when we were on site.
