L’Hotel Casbah est situé à El Puig, à 5 minutes de route de la côte et à 4 km de la plage. La ville de Valence, à 14 km, est facilement accessible en voiture, en train ou en bus. Excellent stay

Great value for money, comfortable clean rooms, friendly courteous staff, available and efficient; it was a pleasure to stay in this hotel, I highly recommend it.

Very disappointing

Very poorly slept in this hotel. Noise in the street until 2am. And very poorly soundproofed rooms. You can hear the sounds of the room above, such as a displaced chair or a falling object, not to mention the hallway or neighbours coming home late... We won't go back to that. Yeah, I sure do.

Dire

They changed our assigned room, according to the owner, because it was bigger. No, not at all. The terrace was for hobbit because you hit the roof with your head. Most of the guests are workers, who knowing the situation, choose "what room they want" leaving the rest of the clients unprotected where they want to put us, because the assigned room is wanted by a worker. There's no restaurant. Breakfast is from 8 to 10 am, but those who frequent the hotel the most are workers who are served breakfast as early as 6 am, so if you go down to breakfast at the allotted time, there is nothing left for customers and you have to look for your life outside. Parking, you have to find your own life on the street.
Certainly, I will not return to this hotel after the experience.

Room was ok, service terrible.

Upon arriving the room was clean, bed was very comfortable, our room had a smart tv, and decent shower. We had travelled from the UK and it was 1am when we arrived and we were desperate for some water and the receptionist wouldn’t give us a bottle of water because the bar was closed. I found it hard to understand refusing a customer some water. Eventually after walking the streets and finding nothing open we returned and begged for some water and were eventually given some! We asked for our room to be cleaned twice during our stay. The first time it had a semi decent clean. Beds and towels were changed (although all towels in hotel seem to be stained which suggests to me they aren’t being washed properly) . The second time we had our room cleaned the bed was made, but sheets were not changed! Dirty towels we had left on the floor were folded and put away as if they were clean! Another thing that shocked us was that one morning we bought some croissants from the bar to eat in our room, however they ended up not being eaten and we returned them to the bar to be binned on a tray with our used cups etc. later that afternoon my husband joked with the bar lady and asked her if the 2 croissants left for sale were ours from the morning, and to our surprise she replied that they were, and asked if we wanted them back. those croissants had been sitting in 30 degree heat on our balcony for over an hour, and i don’t know about anyone else, but I certainly wouldn’t want to eat something that another customer had bought taken away, laid outside, then been brought back
The hotel itself isn’t bad for a budget hotel but the staff are extremely unprofessional, and some of them not very friendly. I can honestly say that service wise it’s the worst hotel I’ve stayed at.

The worst restaurant in 3 weeks travelling through Spain

This review relates only to the restaurant of this hotel. No opinion expressed re the hotel. The restaurant of this hotel is to be avoided. A rainy night, and only 3 people in the restaurant. A disinterested waitress, the slowest service and very overpriced food. One of our tapas was so ‘late’ we refused to accept it. The simplest Spanish bar gives better service and better food at half the price. Do avoid.
