A luxury in the paradise of asturia , highly recommended
Our experience at Casa Maru was simply exceptional. From the amazing views to the prime location, everything was perfect. Delicious and carefully prepared breakfast, aromas that create a Cozy Mood, great quality amenities and every detail thought to make one feel special.
But certainly the best was the hostess, always attentive and with a genuine care for making us feel at home. You rating the passion and dedication in every corner of the property.
A place we'll definitely go back to.

An unforgettable experience
Paradise on earth. It has everything; first the place, the views from the room to the Orange of Bulnes are stunning, otherworldly. This alone is already worth it. The location is perfect because you have everything very close but being in the village of Camarmeña is very quiet. The decor is a real luxury, not lacking detail. Breakfast, careful to the minimum detail with fresh seasonal and local products. And if all this was not enough, add to the close, kind and generous treatment of Joysie making this experience an unforgettable memory. I'll be back.

A flawless stay
Staying at Casa Maru was a highlight of our trip to Asturias! This place is an impeccably curated experience for all the senses - so much attention to details from the ambient music during breakfast to the handmade soaps. The location is also perfect (right by the Cares gorge trail and Bulnes funicular).
The views and interior are incredible, but what really sets this place apart is the kindness of Jhousy. She made us feel so welcome and comfortable and gave us many great recommendations for the area. Also, the breakfast here is the best we’ve had at any hotel - everything you could possibly want and then some. Highly, highly recommended!

A unique B&B in an amazing location
The two-room Casa Maru lies at the end of an extremely tortuous road in the small village of Camarmena in the "Picos de Europa" park. It is a most convenient starting point for diverse trails, as well as a very pleasant place to return to in the evening. Nothing I can write here will adequately describe the magnificence of the surrounding scenery, at the midst of which Casa Maru is a unique gem. The rooms are very comfortable, breakfast in front of the scenery is excellent, and Jhousy is a perfect host, abundant with information and travel advice. Upon request, she will also prepare a delicious dinner. An unforgettable place.

Not so great.
So, I was super excited about this trip.
Details:
The house: two rooms. We got the bigger one. Problem: as a couple the bathroom and bedroom are not separated. So think zero privacy. Would not go there as friends for the same reason. Maybe ok for a single person.
I have to say I felt like an intruder in the house. It’s hard to feel at home when the owners make it feel like their home.
Tip: do not do laundry there. Despite quoting a cost, they charged 3x as much, then destroyed a lot of clothes which we didn’t notice as we didn’t check until we left. (I’m talking. Pants. Bras. Shirts. Also we had an onward journey so had to deal with the wrinkles and destroyed clothing).
Breakfast -okay. But full disclosure I’m not a breakfast person, so I’m not a good judge.
Pros: very close to sights. If you rent the whole house, privacy.
Overall, would not stay there again and probably if asked would recommend somewhere else.
